His eyes slid from the road momentarily to observe Hae-min, but only for a moment; he was a defensive driver, and wasn't about to compromise his company. "I asked him to clear out the loft for someone very important," he remarked, watching the road, "that's all." Brad neglected to mention that he refrained from calling simply because the red-head might have been involved in an activity that Neil and his blonde counterpart would have loved to embarrass him with.

One hand rested comfortably on the wheel, the other on the gear shift between the two. There wasn't much traffic, thankfully, which would take them to his place in a fair amount of time. Some instrumental piece played very quietly in the background, a testament to his utilization of white noise. Pausing at a stop light, he stole another glance to the woman at his side, offering a warm smile should she catch his gaze. "You look lovely tonight, Min."

She glanced at Brad, remembering the false kiln explosion story in the newspaper and wondering if Neil was staying with him. If so, she felt a little bad- the poor man would still be healing. Almost- it was very close- she almost changed her mind and asked to go home instead. But she wanted to talk to Brad, and the trip back to her house would not be long enough... And besides. There were others at her house, others she didn't want to deal with. Not tonight. "Thank you," said Hae-min quietly, smiling again.

Simply because she could, she had been looking at him (trying to retrain herself into thinking of him as less of a friend and more of a fiance, she supposed) when his gaze moved her way. "Thank you," she said again, smiling back. It got easier to take compliments the longer she was... as she was, she supposed, so the blush was minimal this time. "And of course Brad looks handsome," she murmured. "You always do, but tonight especially."

Timidly, she reached out and brushed the tips of her fingers against his hand. Once, the tiny work scars had scared her; that had been when she was younger, and she hardly saw them anymore. Hae-min had her own fair share, too, though hers were from thorns and rocks in dirt. She'd never asked where he'd gained his... Sighing, she settled back into her seat.

A quiet chuckle escaped him. He wasn't sure he'd be able to get used to hearing his name from her, having been called 'oppa' for so long now. It was silly, though, and he knew he would have to learn, firmly telling himself that things can change. Sitting there now, together, engaged...what more proof did he need?

"Thank you," he returned the gratitude softly, humbled. Hae-min was always so sweet, regardless if the object of her attentions was worthy of it. Brad's eyes shifted down to the gentle touch over his hand, his expression softening into a muted neutral guise but with a warmth in his gaze. The hand turned, palm up, fingers touching her own in silent askance. It was a simple gesture, but he swore his stomach had never quite contained so many butterflies at the motion.

He vaguely saw green out of the corner of his eyes, turning his attention back to the road as they continued onward. His thumb touched the side of her palm in an unspoken invitation, and he left it that way, retaining his thoughtful expression.

Very cautiously, she interlaced her fingers with his. Unsafe, yes, but she had good peripheral vision and would know when he needed his hand back (so she trusted, anyway). The action, casual though it seemed, gave her time to think and something to think about. It felt odd to look at her hand in his and imagine a ring on the fourth finger again- not quite as strange, though, as thinking of its partner on Brad's hand. Hae-min thought it would be okay, though. Whenever she'd thought about her future since meeting him, he'd always been there.

True, it hadn't been as her husband. But she could adapt; she always had.
