D: He doesn't get the hint. I told him no, and how my best friend probably hates me, and how I don't think this is a good idea. He's all "I think this is a good idea though. Come-on, give me a chaaaaance. Pleeeeeease?" I keep telling him no, because of a) my best friend still liking him (She left school after I told her that he asked me on a date, so I'm all sad 'n stuff), and b) Stuff to do with stuff that only some people know about. So he was all "I'll phone you after work if you don't tell me why." Now I'm going "aw ********" because if he phones, then someone will find out, and I'll start getting teased by my family and dad will go into Overprotective Mode. Now the only reason I'm not telling him the first reason, is I was wanting him to find out from her, but seeing as thats not working, I don't want reason b to ******** up. I don't want people to get mad at me, but I don't want to feel stupid for telling option b. >: Heeeeeeelp?
@___________@ So so so. Anyway. It all started at the beginning of the school year. I had this boy named Jon come up to me, (the teacher required that people exchange phone-numbers so no one gets behind) and gets my phone number from me. Sooooo. Anyway, yesterday... Uh.... He asked me over to his house on the 19th to play Rock Band 2 Special Edition. He is generally a nice guy, and cute and funny. And he gave me an origami flower. So. Today. He asked me out on a date for Saturday, but knowing me, I said yes without really thinking. He is taking me for Dinner and a Movie, but... Well you see, a) He's my best friend's ex boyfriend, and b) I'm not sure how I feel about this. That and I don't want to fall out of good graces with a certain someone. So, as you can see, moral dilemma. I don't wanna be a big jerk, but I don't want to hurt anyones' feelings. And if I did go out with him, it would be my first date ever. Ideas?

OMG dont go out with your best friends ex! Thats like breaking one of the cardinal rules of friendship D: Tell him once you had time to think about it you realized going out with him would be a shitty thing to do to your best friend, and while he's really nice and everything you dont want to hurt your friends feelings so you cant go out with him after all.

But its not just that thats the problem. But I can't explain that one. AND IF HIRU-CHAN IS BLUNT AGAIN, HE WILL BE STABBED WITH A POINTY BLUNTY OBJECTYTHINGY. But anyway. I guess I probably should tell him I thought it over and realized it was a bad idea. But........ I'd feel like a total jerk. Hes been so niiiiiiice.

Ask your best friend what she thinks about it. If she knows you well enough, she will understand that you said yes without giving it a second thought, until later.
If your friend still likes him even a little bit, then cancel the date.
