Everyone wants more security but yet no one is willing to sacrifice thier "valuable" time. Why is there this big uproar over the fact that they are so inconvenienced by airport security???

I would personally rather go to the airport an hour earlier than be on a plane that is hijacked and die. I don't know maybe I am stupid or something.... but it really gets to me when I hear people moan and groan about the invasion of thier privacy when airport security requires you to take off your damn shoes!!!

They feel that their rights of privacy protected under the Constitution are being violated and that they feel that it shouldn't be happening, so they moan and groan about it. I for one am willing to give up my rights because I realize it's for the greater good. People need to realize that these things are necessary in the prevention of terrorist acts.

Aye, airport security is so stupid that it's reaching the point of pure idiocy.

Few month ago when my unit deployed to Iraq, we rode a commercial airline under the Air Mobility Command into Kuwait. All of us were in full battle rattle, Rifle, pistol, body armor, y'know, the works.

But we still had to take off our boots and open up our lap top cases when we go through airport security, and a fight almost broke out between us and TSA when they try to confiscate our knifes, bayonets, and nail clippers scream

The flight into Iraq was about the same, except we had our live-ammo at that time. I had about 1,000 bullet on me and a three guns, but we were still asked to check our sharp pointy objects as oppose to carrying it.
