To aid some of you roleplayers out there, me and the other mods decided to present to you, the guild, a timeline of events, leading from right before Episode One, through the Clone Wars, the Force Unleashed, the Galactic Civil War, and covering all the major events up until the Legacy comics.
Each post will cover a certain time period, and will include events, the dates they happened, and what happened.

P.S.- Throughout this thread, you'll see two acronyms used for dates: BBY and ABY. BBY means "Before Battle of Yavin" (Episode IV). ABY means "After Battle of Yavin". Thus, numbers with BBY show how many years it is before the battle, and numbers with ABY show how many years it is after the battle, similar to B.C. and A.D.

~ Pre - Clone Wars Part 1 ~ 32 BBY
~~~~~- "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace." Shortly after receiving approval from the Senate to increase the size of their army so as to fend off pirates, the Trade Federation blockades and invades Naboo. A pair of Jedi, Qui-Gonn Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are sent to negotiate, but end up escorting the Queen to Coruscant, where she pushes for a new Chancellor to be appointed. Because of her actions, Naboo Senator Palpatine is elected Supreme Chancellor, just as the invasion is foiled by joint Naboo and Gungan forces, along with the aid of newly discovered Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Qui-Gon meets his end in a duel against Sith Lord Darth Maul, who is in turn defeated by Kenobi, while Skywalker destroys the droid control ship, effectively ending hostilities. - Count Dooku exiles himself from the Jedi Order following Qui-Gonn's death, and is soon lured to the Dark Side by Chancellor Palpatine, secretly Darth Sidious. Dooku assumes the guise Darth Tyrannus. - Tyrannus recruits Jango Fett to serve as the template for the Clone Army. 30 BBY
~~~~~- Jedi Master Vergere is dispatched to the planet Zonama Seekot, where she encounters the Yuuzhan Vong, and offers to go with them if they'll leave the planet in peace. They agree. - Jedi Masters Ki-Adi Mundi, A'Sharradd Hett, and Adi Galla hunt for the bounty hunter Aurra Sing - The Dark Jedi Volfe Karkko is reawakened by Aayla Secura on Kiffex, only to be defeated by her, Quinlan Vos, and Jedi Master Tholme. 29 BBY
~~~~~- Rath Siennar develops the first prototype Death Star, known as the Expeditionary Battle Planetoid. 27 BBY
~~~~~- Project Outbound Flight is sent from Yaga Minor into the Unknown Regions. Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi accompany Jedi Master C'baoth with the project to Zenoma Sekot, then return to the galaxy proper. C'baoth continues on with the project into the Unknown Regions, where they are attacked by a Chiss Ascendancy Fleet, and murdered by then-captain Mitth'raw'naruodo. 25 BBY
~~~~~~- The Yuuzhan Vong, extraterristrials from another galaxy, and the original inhabitants of the sentient planet Zonama Seekot, establish a forward base on the Unknown Region Planet of Bimmiel.

~~~~~- Having seemingly vanished for eight years, Count Dooku resurfaces on Raxus Prime as the leader of the Seperatist movement, thus starting the Seperatist Crisis that leads to the Clone Wars. - Padme Nabberie Amidala, after serving as Queen of Naboo for two terms, is appointed by the new Queen Jamillia to be Senator of Naboo. - Chancellor Palpatine passes the first of his Emergency Power Acts, allowing him to stay in office until the end of the Seperatist Crisis. He remains Chancellor until the formation of the Galactic Empire, where he becomes Emperor. 22 BBY
~~~~~- Garm Bel Iblis, Senator of Corellia, withdraws Corellia from the Senate for a short time. - Depa Billapa and Asajj Ventress are lured by Count Dooku to the Dark Side. - Raith Seinar develops the Twin Ion Engine, along with the T.I.E. starfighter

~ The Clone Wars ~ 22 BBY
~~~~~- "Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones." Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi are assigned to protect Senator Amidala from assasination. Kenobi traces the bounty hunter to Jango Fett, the source for the clone army being grown on Kamino for the Republic. Anakin, meanwhile, falls in love with the Senator, and the two must rescue Kenobi after he unwittingly stumbles upon the Seperatist stronghold on Geonosis. Following a failed execution attempt, the three lead Jedi reinforcements, and eventually the newly recruited clone army in the Battle of Naboo. Skywalker and Kenobi chase down Dooku and battle with him, but are unable to stop him from fleeing. The Republic officially decalres war on the Seperatists, now the Confederacy of Independant Systems, and Anakin Skywalker weds Senator Amidala. - Ki-Adi Mundi replaces Coleman Trebor on the Jedi Council after he is killed in the Battle of Geonosis. - The 'birth' of General Grievous, supreme commander of CIS forces. - "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Anakin and Obi-Wan are both promoted to Knight and Master respectivelly. Skywalker is then assigned an apprentice, Ashoka Tano, and succesfully rescue kidnapped Huttlet Rotta, and return him to Jabba the Hutt, thus ensuring a peace treaty between the Hutt clans and the Republic. - Battles of: Hypori, Muunilist, Dantooine, Ilum, Tantooine, Serapin, Alaris Prime, Rhen Var, Kamino, Mon Calamari, and Haruun Kul, among others - Birth of Kyle Katarn 21 BBY

~~~~~- The Venator, Victory, and Imperial-class Star Destroyers are first produced - Battle of Coruscant and death of Count Dooku - Anakin Skywalker is appointed to the Jedi Council as the personal representative of Chancellor Palpatine - Obi-Wan Kenobi is dispatched to Utapau; Battle of Utapau and death of General Grievous - Battles of Mygeeto, Felucia, Cato Neimodia, and Kasshyyk, to name a few - Order 66 is given, killing off 99% of the Jedi Order. An estimated 200 Jedi survive, and are gradually killed off between now and 0 ABY. - Anakin Shywalker falls to the Dark Side, becoming Darth Vader. He travels to Mustafar where he executes the CIS leaders and disables the droid army. He then duels Obi-Wan Kenobi, mortally wounds his life, and nearly dies himself, only to be rescued by Palpatine and forced to don his protective black armor. - Birth of Leia and Luke Skywalker. Leia is adopted and sent to live with Bail Organa, while Luke is given over to his step-uncle, Owen Lars of Tatooine. - Palpatine, now revealed as Darth Sidious, and reforms the Republic into the Galactic Empire - Construction begins on the first Death Star - Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda order the Jedi to go into hiding. He is 'rescued' by the Imperial Captain Voss Parck, and taken to Emperor Palpatine, and soon joins the Imperial Navy 18 BBY
~~~~~- The Eye of Palpatine is constructed. - Han Solo is sold into slavery after meeting his cousin, Thrackan Sal-Solo - TIE/In fighter first sees combat over the last days of the subjugation of Kashhyyk - Naboo Rebellion. Queen Apilliani is murdered - Darth Vader visits Honoghr, where he is received and honored by the local Noghri. In return for healing their planet, they offer to become assasins for him. Though it is intended on being a trap, due to Vader's betrayal, Marek ultimately sees the Rebellion started and convinces Bail Organa of Alderran, Garm Bel Iblis of Corellia, and Mon Mothma of Chandrilla to sign the Corellia Treaty. Marek is killed by Palpatine. - Emperor Palpatine creates the military rank of Grand Admiral - Han Solo and Chewbacca win control of the Millenium Falcon from Lando Calrissien during a sabaac tournament in Cloud City - Jabba the Hutt becomes the patriarch of his family, the Desilijic kajidic - Start of the new RP 1 BBY

~ The Later Galactic Civil War ~ 9 ABY
~~~~~- The Imperial III-class is produced, which features cloaking devices and more advanced sensor technology and armor - Grand Admiral Thrawn arrives on Wayland and meets the clone of Jorus C'baoth. They join forces, and begin an invasion of the New Republic - At the Battle of Bilbringi, Grand Admiral Thrawn is killed after his Nohgri bodygaurd Rukh betrays him. This results the the loss of morale of Imperial forces, forcing Captain Gillad Pellaeon to order a retreat - The Wayland cloning facility is destroyed by Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade, Han Solo, Leia Organa, Lando Calrissien, Talon Karrde, and some Nogghri Commandos. Detah of the clones of Jorus C'baoth and Luke Skywalker - Birth of Jacen and Jaina Solo 10 ABY
~~~~~- The reborn Emperor Palpatine resurfaces at large, and suceeds in getting Luke Skywalker to become his apprentice - The Galaxy Gun, a super weapon designed by Palpatine, is used to destroy Pinnacle Moon - Palpatine's forces, along with the Eclipse I take over Coruscant - Mara Jade turns Kyle Katarn away from the Dark Side after having been imprisoned on Dromuund Kaas for years - Luke Shywalker and Leia Organa manage to disrupt Palpatine's control of a Force Storm, causing him to destroy the Eclipse I and himself in the process. All but one of his clones dies - Birth of Anakin Solo 11 ABY
~~~~~- Eclipse II is launched by the new Palpatine's last clone, and flown to Onderon, to chase down Leia Organa and her newborn Anakin. - Palpatine is shot and killed for the last time by Han Solo on Onderon - R2-D2 takes control of the Eclipse II, and pilots it into the Galaxy Gun, destroying both of them. Coruscant is recaptured, and the war officially ends - The Vong relocate their forces to Zonama Sekot and begin a formal demilitarization. As punishment for the War, the Jedi negotiate a peace in which the Vong began reversing the Vongforming of the planets they attacked and captured. - While Coruscant is being healed, the GA capital is moved to Denon - The Hutts retake Nal Hutta and Nar Shadaa - Death of Admiral Ackbar - Gilad Pellaeon retires from public service 30 ABY
