My Gods, I can't believe we didn't have an X Japan thread before now... I'm so ashamed. They were so great, one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I have known people who didn't like them... and I don't see how anyone could not like them. They've got a great style and their ballads are so beautiful. I'm also impressed with how good Toshi's english is.
I look at them as the Gods of Visual Kei, because I believe it was them who really got the VK movement going. <3

i totally and completely agree and yes they are def one of the most influentual bands in j-rock history! and should be given mad respect and i personally think they perfected the ballad artform with tears but thats just me!
