..Well I'm back from the hospital. xD; I bet you never realized I was gone, did you?

WELL.

It's okay. <3

...I found something, though. >_> And I know I seem to only focus on wheelchair things...but that's really all I know. I AM openminded, I swear. D: But since I'm in a wheelchair, I tend to focus on that. >_> BUT ANYWAY.

FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR. ...Do you know of..Pimp My Ride...? That..is/was on MTV? [I think it ended.] ...Well I stumbled across THIS while looking up stuff one day.

... IT'S SO COOL. I seriously wanna get my chair 'pimped' [xDDD WTF. I sound like such a nerd saying that.] for my birthday. owo; Now to build up the courage to contact the people and get an idea..about: A. If they CAN do it for someone in the Chicago area...and B. how much it would cost.

...But isn't that cool? xD;

[ Pssst. The little thumbnails at the bottom of the page can be clicked so you can see what they did. owo; ]

...Ta-da. -Scampers out of the thread-

You can do a lot of it yourself, or talk with some organizations like MDA in your area. My current chair is not to pimped out, just purple, a frog bag attached to the back that I can keep emergancy supplies in (meds, contact info, water, granola bar, first aid stuff, straws, little self heating pads (poor circulation), emergancy blanket, flashlight. sewing kit, candies, flashlight, sissors, extra transfer belt), lights and cupholders, but my next chair I'm gonna do more to (hook an mp3 and speakers to it plus it reclines and may have an elevator seat but I don't know if I can have that on a small base. I have friends that have souped up their wheels with higher hp moters (one guy has it hooked up to a 4hp motor and can tow farm equipment or a small boat and even take it up to about 30mph). I have a couple other friends who have installed stereo sysems into their chairs. Many people who install car stereos could do a wheelchair, you just have to be careful and make sure it drains off both batteries evenly. Lots of other stuff, I've just modified from bike supplies.

But how would I paint my own chair? D:

But anyway. I'd do my manual chair, however..not my power chair. I personally wish death upon the power chair [...I have major personal issues with it. -w-; Loooong story.] But... Yeah.

No. I just want it to be painted pretty, you know? I don't want anything 'fancy' added to it. o_o; That's all they did on the website...was paint.

What's MDA?

@windy_angel141: xD Awesome~ <333 I dunno what colors I'd want mine to be. Probably my current obsession. DEEP pink [scarlet..? I dunno] and gold. <3333 That's the colors of my room.

mda=muscular dystrophy association. You don't have to have muscular dystrphy to talk to them If you just want to paint a manual chair, I'd suggest just spray paint on the frame. Any hardware or hobby store will have lots of colors. just make sure you cover what you don't want painted. You could paint the frame gold or pink and the either get stecils or freehand designs in the other color on top. You can either buy the stencils at the same hobby or craft store or make you own by cutting the shapes out of pape or spray painting one color and covering what you want to keep that color with masking tape and spraying the other color. When you do it, make sure the chair is completely clean and if the ara any areas of rust try to sand them down.

No worries, if you screw it up to much, you can always spray paint over it smile There are also some really cool sticker decals made for bicycles, but you can use them too. I saw some great flame decals last week.
