I love them both, but I'm starting to like the New Nightwish better. Tarja was and still is amazing, but I like Anette's softer voice

Nightwish is the same, the singers changed but a band is more than the sum of it's parts.
Personally I enjoy both singers equally. Each bring something unique to the table

tell you the truth i like tarja's voice better for nightwish.
anette's voice is good don't get me wrong.
tarja really brought out nightwish

I can't choose. I like both voices. They have such different styles it's hard to compare. I'd pick old if I had to though, just because more of my favorite songs are from the old era.

I definitely prefer Nightwish's older music. Tarja's voice was just so much more epic and powerful than Anette's. However, I will say this for the newer stuff: "Amaranth" is a truly awesome song.

different voices on the same type of music background, i like the new nightwish but i am a fan of those more melodic moments Tarja gave to the band.

After Tarja left Nightwish's style became verydifferent. they're no longer epic. Tarja's voice is powerful (and her accent is kind of hot ;D) as Anette's voice is much weaker and less moving.

Inever get tired of hearing Tarja's voice. Anette's on the other hand... I've grown tired of most of the songs she sang in.

Both are extremely talented women and I adore both of them equally.
My friend always rags on the new singer simply because she loves Tarja and it ticks me off. Anette is just as good.

Anette's ok, but she doesn't fit with nightwish as well as Tarja did

The band is essentially the same so the music hasn't really changed. At first when I heard they were getting a new singer, I couldn't imagine anyone replacing Tarja but Annette does a really nice job. Her voice is softer but I still like it. At the moment, I can't really decide who I liked better with the band. I should probably go listen to some more music...

well i really like just about all of the new stuff but a handful of the old stuff blows it out of the water. overall i would have to say newer.
