SOOOOO. >w>;;
As some of you know I'm taking Japanese in College this quarter. >8333
It's one of the BEST classes I've EVER taken. xd It's seriously rad. I have a background in the language because I took private lessons for awhile, so it's been really easy to catch on again and I'm totally uber excited and my teacher is amazing.. but ANYWAYS!
So like. My class has moved three times or so, and the classroom we ended up with permanently ( which we got to have class in today ) is in room "44"...
So in the middle of class we're all listening to her talk and this wood thing like falls from the ceiling and crashes into the middle of the floor, nearly hitting a few students.
When we recovered she was laughing at the fact that we're room "44" and 4 is a very unlucky number in Japan... and that our room is apparently dangerous, so everyone should be extra careful.
The Kanji for "death" is translated as "shi" and shi is one way to say 4, so usually people just use "yon" for 4 so it doesn't sound like they're talking about corpses or something. XDDDD;;
The Japanese go as far as skipping the fourth floor in hotels and stuff because they're so superstitious.
SO LIKE.
I have this thing with the number 4. I'm always seeing it.. and I ALWAYS look at the clock at 4:44. IT. NEVER. FAILS..
So as she's explaining this I look at Sylfy (SHE'SINMYCLASS) and I'm all ".... oh my god I'm cursed." And she's like cackling at me and nodding... AT MY MISFORTUNE.
gonk
I'M TOTALLY CURSED YOU GUYS.
ANYWAYS.. YEAH... JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE THAT. <33333333 @W@
