Nintendo moved quietly under the night sky. She was taking her brother’s advice and getting out for a bit. She did anything that he said. Really her brother was the only family she had other than his children. Some of her small marking blushed on her, making it the only thing visible under the blankets of the night. Some moon light was above her as she wandered through the tall grasses of the pridelands. They were up to her chest and she loved it. She was still very shy and the liked to travel at night through the tall grasses. It was hard to see her and through the grasses it was even harder to see some of the glowing marking that could have gave her off. She wasn’t too sure where she was going but she could make her way back home without a problem
Jinan stretched in the tall grass, glad to be away from the pride for once. He loved Neo, Aine and the rest dearly, but it didn’t change the fact that he was lonely. The boys were getting mates of their own, and Aine had had another litter. When he found out, of course he was happy for his best friend, but afterwards he had to stop himself from breaking down and crying. Even now, as he thought about how he was truly alone, he held back tears…then gave up. He looked up to the stars and sighed. This was what it was like to be lonely. To know how it felt as others around him found their soul mate, and be the one who hasn’t. He’d met many lionesses, but he was always left in the end. He had nothing special about him, no amazing markings, and nothing exciting bout his personality. He watched the stars, crying silently, completely unaware of what was around him for the moment.
Nintendo continued walking her mind ws wondering slightly as she did. She was just enjoying this walk until the sounds of crying fell to her ears. She looked up and then blinked a few times. She turned a dark red as she looked at him then looked down at her feet. She was so shy, but she felt horrible for him even though she didn't know why he was crying. Males didn't cry much right? She blinked a few times looked down at her feet not to sure even what to say. She cleared her throat and slowly walked foreward. "Um.. S-Sir. A-a-are you okay?" She asked with a shaky voice very much feeling the need to run kick in. She moved a little closer but stopped a few feet away from him not wanting to move closer. She felt bad for him but she wasn't going to put her gaurd down that fast, last time she did...

After hearing the pawsteps, he softened his crying a bit and wiped his eyes. After hearing the voice, he tried his best to not sniffle, but failed. "I'm...not exactly okay, ma'am...I'm physically fine...i'm just sad..." He turned to look at her and smiled as gently as he could. She looked shy and jumpy, like a...squirrel. He chuckled at the thought, ridiculous as it could be. "Is there something i could help you with, Miss?"

Nintendo furrowed her brow when he said that he was sad, he frowned slightly shaking his head. "I'm sorry to hear... T-That your sad." She shook her head looking down then sighing. She went to move away slightly but then she stopped when he looked up and said something, that would be rude if she walked away now. "Um... No-Not really. I'm.. Just out Wandering around and I noticed you." She said nervously.

"I see...well...It ain't the safest place for a lady like yourself to be wanderin' around. Especially at this time of evenin'." He got up and shook out his mane the best he could. It was wet with dew from the grasses, so it was a little scraggly. "If you'd allow me, i wish to accompany you during your wanderins. I don't mean to walk beside you, just near enough to keep an eye out." His southern accent was soft, as were his eyes, still wet from the tears. "I'm not implyin' that you can't take care of yourself, but i ain't the type to let a lady go waltzin' in to danger."

Nintendo blushed slightly, she looked down. She was being more shy. She smiled slightly at him the best she could when he asked her if he could join her. "Well... Y-You don't h-have to sir. I-I'm fine by myself." She looked at him, she wasn't one to reject people thgouh. "I'm sorry.. You-You can join me though." She said softly then flicked her tail behind her. "Wh-.... What is your name?" She said bravely for herself, she almost never asked things like that, just talked to them when she was spoken to. Otherwise she was just quiet.

Slowly walking up to her, he grinned. “My name’s Jinan, Miss.” He bowed down, then straightened up again. “If I may have the name of the Lady that I will be escortin’ tonight, that would be mighty helpful in talkin’ to ya.” The tears were completely gone now, and his posture was back to normal; loose, playful, strong. He’d be damned if something were to happen to this female while he was around.

Nintendo smilred softly at him. "M-My name is Nintendo." She blushed, her name sounded a little silly and she knew it but she grew up with it. No one really made fun of her... Atleast with Milo around. Milo would hurt anyone who dared, not around her of course. He smiled softly as he seemed to calm down, did she do that. He intregued her. But she did not get that much closer to him. "T-t-thank you for coming with me..." She murmured then looked foreward, trying to remember witch way she was going. She didn't make eye contact with him, it wouldn't be good, she got in trouble with some more dominate lions doing that.

"I like it. Not the most common name around, but not the most complicated." He looked around the area, twitching his tail back and forth. He hardly knew the area, truthfully, and was quite lost. "And no need t' thank me, Nintendo. It's only what a gentleman should do for a lady. Now, whereabouts would you be headed?"

Nintendo smiled a bit again. "Thank you. I guess, some people make fun of me for it." She blushed then looked down, she wasn't much of one to take compliments bad, or good, she would just blush and look down or away. She sighed as she then looked foreward and around to his question. "Umm.. I'm to a point not that sure where I was going." SHe shrugged then flicked her tail behind her and started walking in a random direction. "Just walking." She smiled then started to wander off. "I know my way home though so that is all that matters." She looked at him and shrugged.

“Well now, I don’t see how a name like that could be made fun of, but I won’t ask, a’right?” He watched her change direction a little, and he mimicked. He noticed that she had stopped stuttering, and he smiled. “Just walking can be a whole lotta’ fun. Why, just yesterday I walked without a destination and found m’self at a hot spring.” He chuckled at his recent memory. “If it weren’t for the monkeys I would have stayed t’ take a dip. Monkeys aren’t the friendliest of creatures, I think.” He shook his mane out again as he talkwalked. It was still scraggly, and he was a bit ashamed. But what bothered him most? He hadn’t bothered to exercise much and was just noticing his flab. His mother would be ashamed. “Ah, it’s always a good thing to know how t’ get back home. Very important actually…if only I, myself, weren’t so bad at directions, I would say I know my way home as well. Sadly, I don’t.”

Nintendo smiled a bit as he talked, he sure did have a mouth on him, but she didn't mind, better him then herself, she wasn't much of a talker and she knew it. She looked at him with a slight smile, she slowed down so she was next to her so she was still about a foot away from him,, not wanting herself to get anycloser, still nervous. "Well monkeys aren't really that night. I really don't like them." SHe made a face but smiled when he said something about directions. "I learned after being by myself for such a long time, but now my brother makes sure I know where I'm going around here otherwise I might be a little lost." Her talking was normal now, her nerves calming, she was starting to trust him just a bit but if he tried one thing she would be taking off faster than he could blink.
