once-in band camp, our band directer was telling stories of drum c.
and so,
told by our band directer:
once upon a time i chucked my trumpet across the field at least 5o yards. but it kept bouncing like a ball and when i got there-there wasn't even a dent.
*this isn't the full story but i'm too lazy to write the rest.*

TWELVE!!!!!!
One number, an easy count in the guard work that we all messed up royally on, was the cause of a big inside joke. Our instructor spazzed out, telling us where count twelve was, and so when we ran through the song again, we shouted "twelve" at that count. And then for the rest of band practice we shouted twelve at any count twelve, even if it had no significance.
And then, last year, there was this thing, with this imaginary marble, and where we had to keep/squeeze it when marching in order to keep perfect posture...

When our Band director was is school, a trombonist put their trombone on the back of the football stands and it fell down in between them and when they went to go get it, it literally had a 45 degree angle in the slide crying *funeral music*
