War Is My Past....Blindness Is My Future....

Okay. So, this story is about a young scholar who unfortunately had a destined accident. As she endlessly tricked the most popular woman in school, the joke ended up to be on the trickster. As she was beaten in the midst of the night, she soon found out that the popular woman took her eyes. Now blinded, the young woman faces a life through strength, downfalls, love, hatred, and destiny.

The young woman who's eyes were stolen is named Eve Manchester. She is beautiful, but not as beautiful as the thief, and her name is Melina. As Melina and her 'crew' left Eve for dead, she (Eve) found out she was thieved of her eyes. As the days, months, and years past since that faithful day, Eve's been having trouble with getting to be accepted. Blindness is not her weakness.

I would also like it if any of you who like this story, and are willing to help out, please via PM me some of your ideas to me with the title of 'Blindness is not a weakness'. I would appreciated it if you would. surprised

Calm, sweet, and collective. Eve takes nothing for granted and enjoys company, even if she doesn't get it often. Being blind is not her favorite thing, but she has learned to cope with it. As she progresses with her accident, Eve continues to struggle with school, as she has to cope with being alone. Being blind also has its advantages. Things like being helped out a lot, and getting out of gym. She likes to be treated like a normal person, instead of someone who has an affect.
Unfortunate Events+
Eve has been through a lot. It would be a lot to take up this whole page. But what I will tell you is that she has been blinded by a young woman her age named Melina. As she walked home late one night, Eve was ambushed and taken into an alley, then beaten almost to death. As she was left for dead, Eve learned that her eyes were taken, but nothing will slow her down.

Unfortunate Events+
Melina's family is, well, very cruel to her. Thus, the high self-esteem and coldness around people. She's distant because her family pays no attention to her, which she takes with her to school and draws attention to herself. She's always weary around her father because he constantly shouts at her and her mother. Because of this shouting, Melina closes herself off from the dreamy world and searches for comfort within her dreams.

Part oo1 / Chapter oo1

The Truth...

Eve Manchester listened to the screeches of car tires along the streets. Glancing at her watch, the girl sighed as she saw how late she was. 11:30 pm. Way past her curfew. Sure, she was eighteen and making her way through her last year of high school. Well, having a pair of over-protective parents don't help that image. Snapping back into reality, Eve looked straight ahead of her, not aware of a group of unknown people stalking her. "Mother's going to kill me." Eve said quietly as she crossed the intersection. Running the rest of the way, for the light had turned yellow, Eve flattened her shirt. At the exact same moment her hands left the fabric, a pair of soft but cold hands grabbed her; one covering her mouth, the other around her waist.

Sweat trickled down the back of her neck as she struggled. Eve was let go at last, but only to be hit and knocked down onto the dirt ground. Coughing up the dirt in her mouth, Eve opened her eyes to a pair of frilly pink boots. Wondering who would wear such things while abducting, Eve's head was pulled up by her hair painfully, and she looked at the owner of the boots. Melina. She should have known. Now, I know what you are thinking. Who the hell is Melina? Well, Melina is the nastiest girl you would ever meet. She looked almost like Eve, but much more prettier and popular. The beauty on this creature was overwhelming, and Eve had pulled never ending pranks on her, envious of her life.

"Taking a midnight stroll, are we Eve?" The velvet voice asked as if she hadn't just nabbed at another persons hair. Without waiting for a response or hesitation, Melina and her 'posy' began attacking Eve. They kicked, punched, grabbed, and even spat at the lowly girl. At last when Eve was covered in her own blood and had several broken bones, the group laughed evilly. "Have a nice trip, Eve." Melina's voice called to her from a distance. Eve could hear the scrambling of their feet, running away from her. Eve coughed up blood as she turned onto her back, and opened her eyes to see the sky, but saw darkness instead. Panic rushed through her body as she blinked numerous times, but still, darkness. Fear on her face, Eve lifted her undamaged hand to her face, and searched for her eyes.

As her arm lifted, pain shot through, and Eve knew instantly some of her ribs were broken. Her sweaty hands met what Eve feared most. As the warmth of her blood touched her nerves, the thought came true. Instead of what she should have found, Eve found nothing. She tried to cry as her arm fell to her side again, but the only wetness she felt was her warm blood, spilling from her cuts. She wanted to scream. She wanted to scream for her parents, wanted to apologize for disobeying. But instead of thinking of a great apology, Eve thought what would be horrifying. My eyes are gone.....

Part oo2 / Chapter oo1

Facing the Guardian

As the night continued on turning into day, Eve eventually stood up and walked to the empty streets. She had already ripped a piece of fabric from her shirt and wrapped it around the empty eye sockets. Her hands guided her as she wandered around the streets, trying to find her way home. The only people left out on the streets helped her cross the many streets, but never stuck around to ask her why she was out this late at night, and why she had blood all over her. But as she was waiting for the ding of the last set of lights, Eve heard a far too familiar voice call to her.

"E-Eve? Is that y-you?" Asked Skye, Eve's best friend asked her. "Skye? Where are you? I can't see! Melina took my eyes..." Eve called out. Goosebumps covered her as the familiar warm hand stroked her skin and guided her to him. Fear was in his voice as he spoke. Eve could feel his hands shaking against hers, waiting until he was calm enough to speak. "What happened...?" He whispered in Eve's ear. As she was then guided to sit on a stool by a coffee shop, she told Skye what had happened. "I hope...I hope this won't--" Eve was stopped by the sound of her friends voice; he knew what she was going to say, but stopped her before she cried.

"It won't. Nothing will." Skye's voice soothed Eve, but they were both still shaking in the cold night. Eve was smiling, but facing the road, afraid to face him, scared he might turn away from her face, even though she couldn't see him. Instead, Eve sat there silently, remembering Skye. She missed him, even though he was right beside her, stroking her light hair. She missed his so much. His glowing eyes, the smoothness of his face. The flaming hair, the softness of his smile. She'll miss it all, for she will never ever see his face again. His beautiful face is shattered in her mind. All she will remember is the face of a boy. When they grow up, that's all she'll ever remember...
