Kyrie sat with her brother in the park across from school. She didn't find it very hard to keep an eye on the little boy- he didn't move much, since he couldn't really crawl yet. So, while watching him very carefully, she read the book assigned to her by one of her two employers- the one she'd had to obtain by very shifty means from a choir boy. It was... interesting, but odd.
"Tyki, don't go over there," she said, setting the book aside and walking over to retrieve him from the edge of her imaginary circle. He weighed a ton, she reflected as she tucked him up against one shoulder to walk back to the tree. That was probably why she sat so heavily, anyway, causing him to let out a stiff little oof noise. "Hey, you didn't even get bumped!" With a pout, she set the boy back in the grass. He made a beeline directly to a nearby weed.
She sighed. "Tyki-pon... Don't do that."

Kaito sat and stared rather repoachfully at Gareth as the fifteen year old teenager shoved yet another handful of notes into his backpack. "Mmmbah," said Kaito with a impatient jerk of his leg in an attempt at foot tapping. He had seen grownups do it and it had got people to hurry up. Granted, the grownups were standing when they tapped their foot as a sign of impatience but being unable to stand, Kaito guessed that doing it while sitting was just as fine as well. But Gareth did not seem to get the hint. Pouting, Kaito comtemplated raising a din as he had seen other babies do when they were neglected and was just about to take a deep breath when Gareth came over and scooped the little one off the ground.
"Sorry about the wait there little buddy, but I simply must bring along some notes with me. I've got a paper coming up next week and I am doing the best I can between studying and babysitting okay?"
"Kay," said Kaito and smiled as he gave his guardian a friendly tap. For a moment Gareth was unsure if "Kay" actually meant "okay" or it was just Kaito's way of mimicking a sound. But babies can't talk a voice within Gareth said and Gareth agreed with it.
Jogging slightly to catch the bus, Gareth came across a rather empty park located across an unfamilar school. Well, almost empty corrected Gareth as he noticed a teenage girl and a baby there. But it isn't my school so no one would recognize me anyway and it would certainly save me some traveling time.
The teenage girl looked a little older than him but Gareth wasn't too intimidated. He had learned from experience that if you ignored a girl enough, they'd pretty much ignore you too in return. That plan was flawless except for one tiny problem. Kaito was not aware of such a rule and was already making excited baby noises to the other child.
