B u s i n e s s .. Q u e s t i o n s
- Is there a limit as to how many breedings I can get per month?
- You may only breed three times a month with lions (see information thread for details on rares) and two times a month with cheetahs and hyenas.
How long does it take for a colorist to finish a breeding?
- Depending on they time they have on the computer, some breedings will be done within hours while other might take days. If you feel that's it has been way too long since you claimed your slot, ask them about it in their journal or PM a manager.
Are there refunds?
- No, you will not be refunded unless the colorist isn't able to finish your breeding.
S l o t .. Q u e s t i o n s
- What the hell? Since when does Pride Lands have role play required breeding?
- Since people started abusing OOC breedings? But don't get too upset, not all of the slots are role play required.
What does that mean?
- A colorists can choose whether or not to open up role play required slots and non-role play required slots, and just how many. So that means that one month, they might open up three RPR slots and one NRPR slot and so fourth.
What's the different between the two types of slots?
- Role play required slots will always result in three cubs, with a slight chance of getting a fourth, while non-role play required slots will always result in two cubs, with a very rare chance of a third.
What do I have to do in order to get a role play required slot?
- A minimum of three role plays are needed. At least one of them should explain the connection between the two lions, while the others can be anything.
What happens if I have the necessary amount of RP for an RPR breeding, but can only get a NRPR breeding? Can I get the three cubs instead of two?
- Unfortunately, no. If we bend the rules for one person, we'll have to bend them for everyone else and it just won't be fair. If you want more cubs, wait until a colorist opens RPR slots.
Wouldn't NRPR slots only be for OOC breedings?
- Of course not! A role playing couple can get either slot, but OOC couples can only get the NRPR slots!
This isn't fair! Role playing is supposed to be fun, not something required!
- If role playing really turns into a bother for you, why would you want to breed them without it being sheer cub interest?
Why are you making it sound like my couple is OOC? They aren't, we just don't have the time to role play!
- No one is saying your couple is an OOC couple, but you still fall into the NRPR slot when getting a slot for breeding. No RP, less cubs.
Does Pride Lands require life-time mates?
- No, we believe that just like with humans, tragedy can strike even the most inseparable lions. So for the sake of role-playing, mates can most certainly split up.
C u b .. Q u e s t i o n s
- I understand that non-role play required slots only result in two cubs, but what if I co-own my breeding lion? Can I can another cub?
- For circumstances such as this, yes, an additional cub will be added to the litter. However, you must run it by the colorist, who has a right to turn the breeding down. Also, this cannot and will not be taken advantage of. If the staff finds you constantly breeding your co-owned lion to get an additional cub, breeding rights will be taken away.
So I decided to breed my water lioness with a normal male, but the litter resulted in all males. Because water lionesses are strictly female, does this mean I won't get any rares?
- Good question! To make paying for a rare breeding fair, we've decided that if a water lioness has a litter of males, at least one will be a fire. This works in the case of a fire lion having all girls as well - at least one will be water.
My cub just grew, but looks nothing like he/she when they were born!! What the hell?!
- Well, a colorist has every right to add things to your cubs as they grow, however, if it's a drastic change such as loss of mane, different clothing, etc, then I suggest you confront the colorist about it politely. This does NOT mean you can ask a colorist about your cubs every time, that would a serious offense.
