Yume wo mite Namida shite Kizutsuite mo . . . So, it seems my amazing misfortune caused the release date of the expansion to be announced while I was on vacation. By the time I got back into town and was able to reserve a copy of the CE, I was informed that it was only available for reserve for two days after the announcement. -_- I wish that was something they'd have announced so I could have fought my way to a computer to reserve on Amazon or something. :/
Anyway, so I couldn't reserve the CE, which I so sincerely want to have.
Does anyone know of *any place* that still offers it for reserve?
Also, if worse comes to worse and I have to buy the regular edition and pay way too much to some greedy jerk on eBay for a copy of the CE later, is it possible to switch an already-upgraded account to a CE version? >_<
Thanks for any help. emo This is all kinds of sucking today. . . . Genjitsu ha gamushara ni kurushi

It wasn't so much as "We're only taking reserves for two days" as it was "So many people are reserving it, we ran out after two days". So... they did announce it, but you were on vacation. <_< Unfortunate, but these things happen.
And yes, you can upgrade a normal account to a Collector's Edition at any time.

So if you upgrade to a collector's edition, you'll still get the pet but none of the other more physically tangible goodies, right? Also, how do you upgrade?
I'm totally willing to spend like 200 dollars on it if only for the pet, the problem is just whos willing to sell, lol

Providing your Wal Mart is 24/7, get it from there. They run on first come, first serve. I got mine at midnight with no qualms, waiting in line for like 3 hrs.
Depending on where you live, Fry's also goes on the same policy from my understanding.

My apologies for not being more clear.
You can upgrade from a normal Wrath of the Lich King account if you purchase a copy of the Collector's Edition, as well. You'd be essentially using two CD keys in one, thus wasting the possibility of an account with the expansion, but the original account with the already normal key in it would become a Collector's account. What this would mean is that you'd get everything that came in the Collector's Edition, not just the pet, since you'd have to actually have a copy of it.
Better/Worse?
Faene, people got Collector's Editions of the Burning Crusade, as well. I have one, for sure.

A couple months back I saw several at a Fry's in California for $30. There were some on eBay at the time as well for that price.

I reserved the CE edition ages ago, when it was first announced, but I'm not sure if I still get it, because my receipt just says 'Wrath of the Lich King'. ;_; Have to call up Gamestop sometime, & see what those morons lovely people say.

Yeah, that's why I didn't bother reserving until they announced it. They don't have any way of actually reserving a Collector's Edition until it's announced, otherwise it's just "Reserve a 'CE' and we'll upgrade it for you when it is announced. Maybe." And that's if they're compitant. <_<
