Boyue and Melody are now in possession of a house sealed against magic -- something of a luxury, even in this magic-rich land of Gaia. Although this time Boyue's guardian arranged the service and likely compensated the enchanter, Boyue or Melody might still pause now and then and wonder if it is really necessary or wise for the young couple, neither of whom are currently employed, to take such extravagant measures so early on.

Perhaps, then, as Melody is physically recovering from her pregnancy and the twins are growing stronger, it would be a good time for them to revisit their earlier anxieties about employment and money and do something concrete to squash those fears. But if they do search for jobs, will it be Boyue or Melody who works, or both? And even if only one works, the children will not receive the same intensive attention from both parents they get now...

Boyue had decided to have fun with the Gaian tradition of Halloween. He was going to take the twins trick-or-treating!

He'd gone ahead and purchased some costumes for them, and for himself and Melody....
