Effective Saturday, September 20th, 2008, Cartoon Network has canceled the block and aired its final transmission on the same day. Toonami is dead.

Meh....uh....what to say....:/...uh....Cartoon network just kinda killed my childhood....
By kinda i mean sliped rap poisen in its food and then stabed it with a dull nife to just to finish the job. I mean, toonami was slowley dieing as it was, but....just to kill it like that? -curls into the emo corner-
I know that Naruto is going to be absorbed into AS starting October 3rd at 1030
butbut...TOONAMI! :/ I grew up on that s**t, my thundercats, sailor moon, tenchi mumu.....and tonami midnight run! I still blame that for the start of my insom habbits...but...IT WAS FREEGIN GRATE.
First time I ever was exposed to anime was through toonami...and now just as anime is making a big bang in the us, toonami, most peoples anime beginings, is gone forever.

SO DESCUSION. What do you think about the sudden anouncment? ectect

Cuz they realized that they were killing it, and instead of reviving Toonami with some good shows that were dubbed well, they killed off a large part of our childhood. crying

I know how you feel. In the UK, we didn't get Toonami for long. But it was beautiful. But then Cartoon Network infected it, changed it, and then finaly mutated it into an abomination. Or is that The Flood from Halo. I think it's both. Yeah, yeah, it's both. But yeah, now, what was once Toonami is Cartoon Network Too. Utter. Shite.

They killed Toonami a LONG time ago.
A really long time ago at that.

Now what are they going to replace it with. Please no more of the Chowder crap and other craptastic shows of the same genre.

As soon as they had gotten rid of Tom, that was it for me, I was done with it. Tom was everything that Toonami was, and as soon as he was gone, I didn't like it anymore. And I LOVED the little stories that they gave it along with the games that happened online! It was simply fantastic!

But alas, there it goes, dead...

Toonami was like, the best thing ever! That's all I used to watch. With them canceling Toonami and showing nothing but CRAP on Adult Swim, I'm almost done watching Cartoon Network all together.

before toonami there was scooby doo, and bugs bunny, and the smurfs.

and it was good. until toonami came.

so good riddance. :P

I'm with ya. All the original s**t they have on AS is...just s**t. :/ I remember when Toonami AND Adult Swim were awesome. Now... they both kinda suck. Even on Saturdays when they were really rockin'.

Meh. -joins in the anger- that made me terribly sad. But thankfull for my tibodohicky. But still sad xD Now i barley ever get around to watching the english version to laugh or cry at >.<
