"Heath!! Wake up! Oooh... Wake up!!" She frantically fumbled with her elfire tome.

There was a boom of thunder.

Clouds continued to move in, in a failing attempt to block out the moon, which shone down upon a passing army. Rath and Sain took the front, being guided by Micaiah, who intended to bring them to the spot where she was attacked. As they rode forth, Rath thought back to before they left and the promise which he had made to his captain.

Rath.. I'm coming, too!
No, Nino... I forbid it...
But... I-
I promise you, Nino... we will return... with Ayra and Leaf, at our sides.

Rath's thoughts were interrupted when Micaiah told them that they had arrived at the location. A small squad of generic soldiers were orders to survey the area. As the crew looked around for any sight of hope, they consequently only saw utter nothingness. No sign of their ambushed comrades could be seen.

Thunder boomed faintly, in the distance.

Morph Tacitus

PostPosted: Tue Sep 30, 2008 10:13 pm

Through the fog, one man stepped forward. He gazed at the man who he was designed to resemble. They were the same, yet so different...for he was a morph. The man called out, asking who was there, but the morph did not answer. There was nothing but quiet. The only part that this particular morph enjoyed about resistance...

The nomadic man called out yet again to the morph, and this time the morph responded. "Do not.... resist......"

Suddenly, the footsteps of soldiers could be seen coming out of the fog. Their faces were hidden, but their movements were generic and their aura was evil... and it seemed as if they weren't exactly real... they could only be what the crew had feared the most: Morphs.

As the generic morphs moved out of the fog, more distinguished morphs soon showed themselves, and stood with malicious grins on their faces.
The morph resembling Rath then raised his hand outward and uttered but one devastating word. "....Attack."

With that, the morph armies charged into action, followed shortly after by the same command from the FEF army, the only difference being that the crew had charged along with their men. Thus the might of good and evil did clash. Nobody could imagine the outcome.

"Tacitus." He began, "Seems everything is wrapped up here." He appeared out of nowhere, and just stood in the same spot, close enough to Tacitus. He was told to be with him, and Maln never disregards an order.

Tacitus remained in his location and peered out, as if not even acknowledging Maln's presence. "Incorrect... It has only just begun... "

Isadora battled left and right with her sword while using her sheild to deflect the arrows. The battle was getting intense. The more she sliced the morphs, two more dozens came to replace.

The army was stronger than Isadora had fought. Never would she imagine the army to be so powerful. Swinging her sword with all her might, she looked up to her comrades to see how well they were.

Sain was struggling to fight just as she was while Rath was taking down the morph one by one. Then, out of nowhere, Isadora had an eerie feeling.

She turned around to see a morph who resembled as Rath, pulling his bowstring and aimed at the normadic trooper. Fear and panic rushed over her body as she slashed down the generic morph and charged toward Rath.

"Rath! Look out!" Isadora cried in warning as she got closed to Rath. Suddenly, she felt something pierce on her side. The force was so powerful, Isadora felt herself falling out of her horse, unnoticed that an arrow had pierced her. The last thing she saw was Rath looking horrified at her as darkness consumed her.

Seeing as the morphs began to charge, Rath initiated the counter charge, and the FEF army rode out to meet their enemy. As they clashed, the horsemen began to pick off the morphs on the front lines. Rath could see Isadora and Sain near him, but they soon spread apart.

The attacking morphs seemed to be nothing but drones, and were easy to pick off. The true leaders were hiding in the back... watching...

Rath suddenly heard his name, but as he turned around, all he saw was Isadora falling.. an arrow in her body. "Isadora...!!" Rath looked to see where the arrow came from. He was even more shocked to see a man standing there... a man who resembled himself! "What monstrosity are you?! You... " There was no expression on the morphs face. All he did was prepare to fire again. "I shall not let you have that chance!"Rath charged at Tacitus and dodged the first arrow that was fired. Rath countered it by giving a deep cut to Tactitus' arm.. he would have done more, if the morph hadn't tried to dodge it.

Rath circled around to attack again, dodging the morph's arrows, and delivered another blow. As he circled around, he was grazed by an arrow that the morph had managed to fire.

He's fast...

Rath dodged more arrows and gave another deep wound to the morph. However, as Rath began to circle around, his rout was cut off by a morph who had attacked with a fire tome. As Rath suddenly halted, the next thing felt was a deep pain in his back, followed by several more. His sight grew dim... He saw hardly any remnants of the army... and fell from his horse.

She closed her eyes.

She was wanted again- no, needed- to be on the battlefield. There, where she was designed to be, where she was created to thrive and collect the vast, virulent spoils of war. A tug at her senses told her to get moving, to take the prisoner she had taken and get her to base as quickly as possible and get back to the grounds of war.

Teleporting quickly to the base, she grabbed the woman's wrists and dragged her unceremoniously across the stone floor, not caring about the gash on her skull and the sticky blood that seeped out from the wound. The already darkening liquid had already begun to congeal, thickening and fusing parts of the swordmaster's hair together. Not that the morph cared, however.

There was nothing more to do than to push that unconscious body against the wall, shackle her there alongside the other captive, and teleport back to the field, where she knew she would descend into a realm of utter chaos.

Her bow was ready, her string taught, and arrows ready to fly as she moved beside Tacitus, awaiting an order.

Vaherianslyeri

Tacitus was emotionless as he held his wounds. "You're late...." He said, noticing that Vaherianslyeri had teleported in.

"Finish up the resisters.... ...Their leader... has fallen..."

Blood began to pour from his wounds, but his expression remained the same.

Synra drew her dark cloak closer to her pale form--perfection, she thought, if Lady Madriana had created her.

The pegasus? Taken care of. Not killed, of course. Why waste a perfectly good mount? Many of the other horses had run off into the forest; they did not concern her. The easily spooked animals would do her mistress no good. The morph smiled, her seemingly bloodless lips curling ever so slightly at the tips.

A swish of her mantle, and she disappeared: the magic bestowed upon her was enough to allow her to teleport. Among other things.

Her lithe feet touched silent ground. A delightful smell of iron filled her nostrils--blood. Human blood. The morph's smile remained.

"I have detained Huey, the pegasus," her monotone voice announced. "The entrances and exits have been sealed, as well. It is finished. Let us return and wait for Lady Madriana."

Back inside Nino's room, a great struggle had ensued. It ended, however, in the girl being completely overpowered by the powerful Necromancer. Having disarmed the captain, leaving her harmless and hopeless, Madriana took her by the cloak, gave a tug, and turned to look at her creations. The girl fell to the floor weakly, defeated.
"Grishelda. Return quickly home and prepare a place for this brat." She took a glance around the room. "Hm. Take what's useful." She commanded of the other morphs. "Most of it's probably trash." Dreamily, she smiled to herself, fixing her hair a little. "This is my world now. It's not perfect, but under my rule it will be. This.. is going to be fun indeed."
