I didn't see any topics on this so I thought I'd start one.
As a new project Sony or some other company is going to be filming shows going of Broadway to show in theatres and RENT is their first one!
Rent will be in movie theatres across the country next weekend!

It's no joke!
I went to see RENT on the Wednesday before it closed and they were FILMING US!
The filmed the line waiting to get it,
they filmed us handing in our tickets,
and they filmed up getting signatures!
The actor who played Benny borrowed my permanent marker.
*dies of happiness*
As a side note...
did anyone else get filmed when they went to see it?
-Only talking about the shows from the last Wednesday on...-

On a side note if anyone cares I went to see RENT in the movies...

I saw it in the theatres! It was my first time ever seeing the show rather than the movie version and it was AMAZING!!!!!!! The actor who played Angel did a fantastic job and "One Song Glory" was gorgeous! But I did see the actor who played Collins smile during "I'll Cover You Reprise"...what the heck?

I saw it too and it was phenomenal! I loved how they blended the videos that are usually showing on the backdrop and out of Mark's camera at the end with the actual actors on the stage!

I'm not sure how to explain the Collins smiling... I guess the best way to describe it is, yeah he's sad, but he loved her so much and he has such great memories. Honestly, can you think of Angel without smiling? I know I can't!

i wanted to see it but my sister had a band competition on sat. and we couldn't go on sunday.... *cries* i'm glad it was good though.

Yeah you're right. Anyone else cry their eyes out at that picture of Jonathan at the end? I did! heart crying
