O Hai Well, you can post now. Please leave critiques, encouragement, or love in the thread if you so desire. I ask that you leave emo, drama, and hate out of the thread if at all possible. I am just here to enjoy the people and make new friends and maybe get to RP with some of ya'll. Please that this thread is constantly under construction. I am always adding and fixing things based on my own neurosis, suggestions of others, or just plain boredom and sudden motivation.

Funds Jackal: 66,000 /?? Astrid: 66,000 /??
I don't mind getting them together as twins if possible but it isn't a must. I don't want twins of either type of animal I am questing for. I want to give other people a chance and the like.
Updates TODAY ( Oct. 18 ): I have updated the thread and made various notes here and there. As of yesterday I had completed Astrid's profile (to my knowledge).

Name: Jackal Parents Name: Onuris Vaiile Gender: Male Animal: Chipmunk Animal Refs: I am a JACKAL! Why does no one believe me?! Stop calling me a chipmunk! Mmm peanut. Look, I just have racing stripes is all.
Hairstyle: Short, Wild, Messy, Mussed. Hair Colour: A very dark brown Eye color: Black Eye style: Roundish, kind of big-ish Skin color: Brown, with lighter brown underbelly Markings: Chipmunk's stripes [black and white] along his back/tail Clothing: Nothing or Loincloth! Animal Features: Ears - Yes; Smallish/rounded. Chipmunk ears! Tail - Yes; Medium/Shortish, really fuzzy. Chipmunk tail! Wings(if applicable) - No. Other - N/A
Personality: He is a little odd, full of himself - fearless, and truly believes his animal type to be a 'jackal' despite his chipmunk exterior. Ways to describe him would probably be crazy, unpredictable, and a little hard to get used to because his antics and behaviors that can be ... let's face it, annoying. He talks in third person and will often do certain chipmunk behaviorism no matter how hard he tries to repress them (stuffing food in his cheek pouches, and a love for nuts of any kind are just a couple of features I am considering) and thus betray him. Whether or not he will grow out of the 'I am a jackal!' phase has not been decided. Pose: Any, feel free to play around with the poses. Extra: I was going after chipmunks in general but if I need to model him after a certain type and what not I think an Eastern Chipmunk would be just dandy. I don't see him as being very tall at all, so he'll probably be short for all of his life. D'awww. Poor little Jackal.

Name: Astrid Parents Name: Onuris Vaiile Gender: Female Animal: Basset Hound Animal Refs: Why am I so sad? Do your ears hang low~ Do they wobble to and fro? Love meeee! A garden fit for royalty!
Hairstyle: Long - Waist length. Curly - relaxed curl Hair Colour: Rust/Reddish Brown Eye color: Dark brown. Eye style: Roundish. Naturally sad looking. Skin color: Influenced by Basset Markings shown here (Link to come) Markings: Large blotches of colors, up to the artist which markings/colors of basset coat she wants to use! Clothing: A simple dress/wrap. Don't care about patterning. Animal Features: Ears- Yes; Long and floppy Tail- Yes; Not super long but not super short Wings(if applicable) - No. Other - N/A
Personality: Personality Astrid will be above all else ... Stubborn. Bossy, kind of a brat and she will believe herself to be royalty and want to be treated as such. Be it because of the name she shares or because of her guardian’s pampering. That is not to say she cannot be selfless or kind but it takes a while to get under the stubborn and proud demeanor. Astrid's pride is pretty easy to wound but she often refuses to cry in front of others until she is alone. As she gets older she will probably have a bit of a more regal behavior as she becomes more refined and calms down. If she considers a task beneath her it is not below her she will often try to con others to do it for her. Pose: Any! Feel free to have fun with Astrid. Extra: N/A

Name: Onuris Vaiile Alias: Blaed, Jerk, Pretty Boy Age: 22 Height: 6'2 Build: Medium - Slender Hair: Crimson Eyes: Golden Blood-Type: AB Skintone: Lightly Tanned Gender: Male Race: 'Chimera' Nationality: Calderaian Martial Status: Single Preference: Women Occupation: Entertainer - Bard (Blade) Weapons: Rapiers and other bladed weapons Pets/Companions: None for now. Distinguishing Features:
Crimson Hair: Since he appears and behaves humanly his only real distinguishing feature is his red, red hair. Hair so red it is crimson. It is a rather vivid shade of red and thus makes him stand out. His hair is a source of pride for him. Any attempt to maim it may cause various (hilarious) consequences. Fears: Mostly nothing. One could say priests but he merely dislikes (read: hates) them. A more concrete fear would be the inability to perform his skills or to be unable to entertain others. Dreams: Eventually? To be married, have children of his own. To be able not to have to look over his shoulder for dark figures.
Goals: Keeping him and his family financially afloat and attempting to woo a lady. Another goal would be the ability to control a certain quirk of his when shocked or frightened (this will be described later in the profile). Outlook: Optimistic
Likes: Music, Dancing, Art, His family, Reading, Rapiers and Swords, Assisting damsels in distress, Quiet evenings Dislikes: Priests of most types, Bad food, Bad performances, Eerie silences, Weaker folk being picked on or harmed Favorite Music: Any kind but prefers Opera and Orchestra-style music. Favorite Books: Anything. He likes classical novels best. Favorite Colors: Reds and Gold Favorite Meal: Most Gourmet Meals; Loves pastries.
Skills & Abilities:
{Good} Disguise: He can disguise himself to look like anyone he pretty much wishes. With the right things on hand he could actually make himself appear (very convincingly) as a woman. He is able to pitch and change his voice as needed. {Good} Performance/Acting: This goes with his disguise skill as well as with his profession of being an entertainer. He can sing or dance fairly well and he can step on stage and not care or fear of making a complete fool of himself. He is able to easily convey emotions or feelings to his audience and make them feel what the performance or story is meant to show even if there are no words or song. {Good} Weapons: Bladed: He is able to fight with bladed weapons and he can also perform with them without hurting himself or others. A lot of his skill is just for show especially since he doesn't really need to fight so much now a days... {Okay} Cooking: He can't do anything super fancy but he could survive on his own if he had to cook for himself. {Rusty} Courtly Etiquette: Being a noble by birth and blood he had had the rules of Etiquette pounded into him. If pressed he could behave rather well in a courtly procession but why would he want to go through all that when he worked so hard to get away? Needless to say he doesn't really practice what he learned from little on but he does still remember the lessons and the pain they wrought from the teacher if he performed badly when he was younger...

About Chipmunks Information here is copy/pasted/found in this Wikipedia Article. Quick Blurb
Chipmunk is the common name for any small squirrel-like rodent species of the genus Tamias in the family Sciuridae. Around 25 species fall under this name, mainly in North America, although one species is native to Eurasia.
Etymology & Taxonomy Tamias is Greek for "storer," a reference to the animals' habit of collecting and storing food for winter use. Twenty-five species belong to the genus by this name, with one species in northeastern Asia, one in eastern North America, and the rest native to western North America.
The name originally may have been spelled "chitmunk" (from the Odawa word jidmoonh, meaning "red squirrel"; (c.f. Ojibwe, ajidamoo). However, the earliest form cited in the Oxford English Dictionary (from 1842) is "chipmonk". Other early forms include "chipmuck" and "chipminck", and in the 1830s they were also referred to as "chip squirrels," possibly in reference to the sound they make. They are also called "striped squirrels" or "ground squirrels", though the name "ground squirrel" more often refers to the genus Spermophilus. Tamias and Spermophilus are only two of the 13 genera of ground-living sciurids.
Ecology and Life History
Eastern chipmunks mate in early spring and again in early summer, producing litters of four or five young twice each year. Western chipmunks only breed once a year. The young emerge from the burrow after about six weeks and strike out on their own within the next two weeks.
Though they are commonly depicted with their paws up to the mouth, eating peanuts, or more famously their cheeks bulging out on either side, chipmunks eat a variety of foods. Their omnivorous diet consists of grain, nuts, birds' eggs, small frogs, fungi, worms, and insects. At the beginning of autumn, many species of chipmunk begin to stockpile these goods in their burrows, for winter. Other species make multiple small caches of food. These two kinds of behavior are called larder hoarding and scatter hoarding. Larder hoarders usually live in their nests until spring.
These small squirrels fulfill several important functions in forest ecosystems. Their activities harvesting and hoarding tree seeds play a crucial role in seedling establishment. They consume many different kinds of fungi, including those involved in symbiotic mycorrhizal associations with trees, and are an important vector for dispersal of the spores of subterranean sporocarps (truffles) which have co-evolved with these and other mycophagous mammals and thus lost the ability to disperse their spores through the air.
Chipmunks play an important role as prey for various predatory mammals and birds, but are also opportunistic predators themselves, particularly with regard to bird eggs and nestlings. In Oregon, Mountain Bluebirds (Siala currucoides) have been observed energetically mobbing chipmunks that they see near their nest trees.
Chipmunks construct expansive burrows which can be more than 3.5 m in length with several well-concealed entrances. The sleeping quarters are kept extremely clean as shells and feces are stored in refuse tunnels.
If unmolested they often become bold enough to take food from the hands of humans. The temptation to pick up or pet any wild animal should be strictly avoided, however. Chipmunk bites can transmit virulent and dangerous bacterial infections. Chipmunks also may attract birds and other predators.

Appearance
These dogs are around 36 to 38 cm (13 to 15 inches) in height at the withers. They usually weigh between 35-70lbs. They have smooth, short-haired coats but a rough haired hound is possible. Although any hound colour is considered acceptable by breed standards, Bassets are generally tricolor (black, tan, and white), open red and white (red spots on white fur), closed red and white (a solid red color with white feet and tails), Honey And White (honey coloured back, light brown spotty nose and legs, light brown tails with white tip) and lemon and white. Some Bassets are also classified as gray or blue; however, this colour is considered rare and undesirable. They have long, downward ears and powerful necks, with much loose skin around their heads that forms wrinkles. Their tails are long and tapering and stand upright with a curve. Some prefer that the tail be tipped in white. This is so they are easily seen when hunting/tracking through large bushes or weeds. The breed is also known for its hanging skin structure, which causes the face to occasionally look sad; this, for many people, adds to the breed's charm. The dewlap, seen as the loose, elastic skin around the neck, and the trailing ears, help trap the scent of what they are tracking.
The Basset Hound is a large dog with short legs. They were originally bred to have osteochondrodysplasia, known as dwarfism. Their short stature can be deceiving; Bassets are surprisingly long and can reach things on table tops that dogs of similar heights cannot. However, because Bassets are so heavy and have such short legs, they are not able to hold themselves above water for very long, and should never be made to swim.
Temperment
The Basset Hound is often considered a friendly breed. For this reason they are an excellent pet for children. Bassets "forget" the training when a reward is not present. Bassets should be on a leash when out on walks.
Bassets might howl or bark when they want something or to suggest that they think something is wrong (like a storm is coming). They also use a low, murmuring whine to get attention, which sounds to many owners as though their Bassets are "talking." This whine is also used by the hound to beg (for food or treats) and varies in volume depending on the nature of the individual hound and length of time it has been begging.
Origins
The name Basset Hound comes from the French word "bas" meaning low. Some sources suggest the Basset Hound may have originated from genetic dwarf dogs presented in litters of other types of French hunting hounds, however, we do know that it is a rather old breed, descended directly from the Bloodhound. Shakespeare described the Basset Hound with the following poetic image: "Ears which sweep away the morning due." According to research, the true fame of the Basset Hound began in 1863, when it was presented at the Paris Dog Show. Its popularity spread to England where a lively dispute arose between two factions of breeders: Those who wanted to keep the Basset Hound a hunting dog, and those who wanted to transform it into a companion dog. Situated between these two factions were the American breeders who proceeded to develop an extremely pleasing companion dog without sacrificing any of the qualities of the hunter. The breed was recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1885. Its natural bent is for hunting both in the den and in the open. It is therefore, used for the hunting of fox, hare, opossum, and pheasant. Bassets can hunt in packs or alone. It has an excellent sense of smell, but its reflexes are a bit slow. Their slow pace is convenient for hunters on foot and keeps game from being scared out of reach. The Basset's nose is almost as outstanding as the Bloodhound's. George Washington may have owned Basset Hounds given to him by Lafayette after the American Revolution. (Information for this section was gotten from here: Dog Breed Info Center)
