Naddear chuckled some and shrugged. "My house had been hoping for a warrior but got me instead, such was their luck." He had known magic was his way, it was in his blood and random magical things always seemed to happen around him. Though his family had thought anywise. And oh how he enjoyed the illusions he could do anyway.
He noted how the other seemed to enjoy the movements of the crystals, Nadd guessed that is was most likely because the other liked shiny things, such were sticky fingers. A grin spread across his face as the other spoke. "Well I had never another to help me with my performance. Though that is a great idea, you would not be interested in doing so, but would you be willing to split the profits?"

Mikaril nodded, the picture of understanding, or as much as a drow could look in that respect. "Had I become a warrior, I would have been the sixth, but I was destined for the shadows, not the sword." He had truly believed that it was in his House's best interest as well as his, despite the knowledge that every time a new warrior was born, his house had gone up a rung on the status ladder. Never mind that; he did what he was good at, and had he gone for the other profession, he risked dying a pathetic weakling and bringing disgrace upon his House. Not necessarily a painful thought, as he remembered his sister and mother, but a House was a House, and he was still duty-bound. No matter how irritating it got sometimes.
He returned the grin with one of his own.
"Absolutely; I'm not the only drow attracted to shiny things after all, and I can pick pockets fairly easily. Although, I may have to stash the coins somewhere inconspicuous when I get too many of them, because given the nature of my satchel, you would have a while to wait for your cut if I used it, unless of course that didn't bother you any. It isn't as though I'm going to leave town with it, after all." He looked at Naddear inquisitively; he wasn't one who trusted very easily (although males put him more at ease naturally), and he didn't expect anyone to trust him in return, but he really couldn't see another option unless the other thief knew of a safe place where the stolen coins could be stashed.

Naddaer rose a brow. "Wow, really, sixth. That seems like a lot for one house." He himself would have only been the second, counting the weapons master. His family had wanted one of the two sons to take over the weapons eventually. "Yeah, I know that feeling of being destined for something else." It was a miracle that he had been able to get away from his own house some time ago, traveling the Underdark as he pleased.
"Well I guess it would depend on how bit my share would be. You could keep some out and stash the rest? It would be rather good to get more then a normally do, maybe I won't have to work so hard the rest of the week." He chuckled and grinned. Really, he'd make the same by performing on the streets, whatever he got from the other would just be an added bonus if he got it.

Mikaril smiled and shrugged rather modestly. "Well, what can I say; I've been told our patron was.......good at what he did." He had never really come to know his father before his death; to him, he was just another hostile face that he learned to watch for when the family was gathered. That's all he had ever been; just a face. And really, Mikaril couldn't have cared less.
He nodded and fingered the clasp on his satchel.
"I could do that; after all, what drow would travel a marketplace and NOT carry a few coins with him? Once it seems tht we've done enough, I can return to my House and collect your half to bring to you. It shouldn't raise suspicion, since the wards for the treasure room don't take effect until the treasure is stashed there, and it won't be." Hopefully he wouldn't run into anyone in the process; wards or no wards, all it took was a conclusion on the part of his sister or another member of his family, be it true or false, for him to face punishment.
"Alright," he said as he cracked his fingers.
"You find a place to set up, and I'll linger about. When a crowd starts to gather, you just do your thing, and I'll do the rest." This was the kind of theft he liked, though it caused minimal chaos; it was the easiest way to make money and the risk was actually rather small, since one could say he was robbing in a city full of thieves; being drow, if they didn't steal money, chances are it was something else.

Naddaer grinned and shrugged his shoulders as well. "I don't even know what my Patron did, my mother doesn't trust males at all. Part of why I am where I am today." His family was quite crazy and getting away from them and what they had wanted him for was the best thing he'd ever done.
"Heh, well of course. Why would you be in the marketplace and not at least intend on buying anything." Naddaer pondered for a moment, not fully trusting the other drow. "I'd rather not have my half brought back to me here. We could find a place close to your house, less travel for you."
His headed nodded in recognition and turned to the side. A few steps down the rode and he set his few belongs down on the side. He was sure to pick a place that many people would pass by. Naddaer reached his hand into his pocket and brought out his crystals and started to juggle them.

Mikaril sensed the other's distrust and smiled in spite of himself. Of course; why should he trust him? A stranger who made his home here, who might have enough position to snap his fingers and toss him in the nearest dungeon? If Mikaril entertained any such notion, even then he would at least make sure it wasn't House Torlyl's dungeon. His sister was just too careless with her toys, and he liked this fellow too much.
He pointed toward a broken-down building far down the street and across from the street House Torlyl was on.
"Fair enough. I'll stash the goods on the roof of that building, beside the broken gargoyle. It should be easy enough to come and go, and you can get it whenever you like."
That being said, Mikaril wandered a ways away from Naddaer and pretended to check the clasp on his cloak, while keeping a wary eye on the young magician. When he saw him begin to juggle and notice the crowd begin to gather, he slipped carefully into the crowd and let his nimble fingers go to work.

Gold eyes followed the finger towards the broken down building. It looked abandoned enough and he felt like he could trust the other well enough. Anyway, he'd still make out with earnings from juggling as well as a bit before he possibly got the rest of his share. Naddaer had the easier part to play. He nodded in response and went to set up.
With his few belongs set down, he brought out his crystals. First he had started by juggling them in the air as a warmup. Though he wouldn't be lazy this day with his juggling, he decided he would use more advanced tricks to get the crowds. He held four of the crystals in one hand, three on his palm with the forth onto of the other three. They appeared to be spinning by themselves in his palm. Naddaer continued tricks such as this, switching hands. His eyes scanned the crowd to look for Mikaril, not showing any signs of recognition towards the other drow.

Mikaril darted to and fro in the crowd, devising a system for whenever his fingers successfully emerged with a purse. He would first go for a purse that looked plain and unremarkable. Then he would use that purse to stash the goods inside the next few purses, tossing the richly decorated purses inside his satchel. He didn't feel too terribly guilty about it; he figured that Naddaer would be more interested in the contents of the purses than in the purses themselves.

Once he filled the plain purse at least two-thirds full, he turned around and made his way to the rooftop, where he placed the bag in a corner made up of the gargoyle's pedestal and the inside of the roof's decorative railing. This usually took a little longer than he liked, namely because he was being extra careful to make sure that he was unnoticed as he dropped his loot off.

He had a close call at one point. He had just finished placing a few coins into a leather purse that looked as though it's previous owner had been sick on it when he felt someone grab his wrist. He whirled around and faced a male with piercing red eyes and long luscious white hair, with silk pants and a jewel-encrusted vest. He happened to be the very person whom he had relieved of his coins only moments ago. "Okay sticky-fingers, hand over my purse before you lose them." His mind filled with the image of him slipping the beautifully crafted purse into his satchel and it vanishing like the magic it was, he angrily pulled his hand away and pulled out the leather pouch.
"Does THIS look like your purse? If I had your clothes, I'd walk around with a better." The other turned red, spat on Mikaril's shoe, and walked off. Mikaril deliberated on following that one and happily planting his dagger in his back, but instead he thought of how much pleasure he would have selling that lout's purse.
