Deet and Leo were both utterly speechless, and probably for the same reason.
Dragon. Leo got a dragon. And a lollipop. Deet put Leo on the ground, and if his hair wasn't already gray, it surely would've been changing color.
"...They get dragons?" Deet asked Riley.

Stella was very unaware of the staring that was going on between Leo, Deet and Riley. She waited until Leo was put down and went to kneel beside him, staring at him with wide gold eyes. "Mine's gold." She told him again with a happy little purr. "But there are lots of them! Lotsa different types. I wonder what you'll get." She mused, but was very quicky distraced from that train of thought by a shiny book on the shelves, one which she practically crawled over Leo to get.
"Yeah, they get Dragons." Was all Riley could offer at first, shaking his head a bit. "The kids are apparently built to be able to control them better than humans." Now he was explaining what he was told a little quieter. "They get the egg that best matches them. I'm not sure how Stella got a Golden Dragon though, they are total opposites."

Leo turned around, trying to keep up with Stella, holding his lollipop with eyes wide and mouth agape. The trauma of pork products seemed to have lifted from his little porcine head, replaced with child curiosity"I-Its gold?! You have a gold dragon?! Really?! Whats his name?! Or her name?! Does it do tricks?! Can it breathe fire?!"
"...How big does it get? Does it eat a lot? Have I asked how big does it get? Y'know its just me and Leo yeah but its a reaalllly tiny apartment y'know so its not like we have a lot of space..." Deet's color has flushed from his face, and the father and son duo were asking up a storm.

Stella stared at the piglet when it finally started doing something interesting. Though, this something interesting ended up being an insane amount of talking. Either way, the little Panther was pleased. She grinned her cheshire grin. "Yeah! Its gold. I dunno if its a he or she...but it'll do AWESOME things when it hatches! I think I'ma name is Nada." She mused, looking around. "When it hatches, I'll come visit you and show you!"
"To be honest, I have no idea. Stella's dragon is still an egg, but...I imagine it'll get very,very large." The military man grumbled, folding his arms across his chest. "I don't have much either, but I might be able to rennovate a warehouse." Because if Stella had a Dragon, that meant Emmet and Tryst were going to have Dragons too.

Deet slumped, defeated and weak, "I guess I could renovate the library...And the guest room...Maybe even part of my room...The food bill alone is going to put me into the poor house..." Deet grumbled, more worried about a the food bill which was already high, understandable since Deet was a proverbial pig and Leo was a literal pig. "...Eh, if worse comes to worse I can go back to my old job as a street walker." Deet joked with a grim smirk and a weak chuckle.
"Really?! You will?! Thank you!!!" Leo said, kind of wanting to hug the Panther girl but knowing in the back of his mind that doing so would probably result in being seisuplexed or mauled, so he resisted. "Any idea why its gold?" the curious pig-boy asked.

"If you think you've got it bad, I'm currently rennovating a house I'm sharing with a complete stranger so we have an extra room in the basement for Stella, and then an extra room for when we'll need it in the future." Because Emmet and Tryst wouldn't want to stay in the same room forever. Twins or not, they were still a boy and a girl. Riley bowed his head, pinching the bridge of his nose with his eyes closed. Damn his luck, damn D-Corp, and damn the woman that they're using as blackmail! "The house currently has three bedrooms; one for me, one for my housemate, and one for the kids. Between my house mate and myself, we've got three little kids to look after. So that means I need to build two extra rooms so they can have their own space when they get older. But those three kids are all from D-Corp. So that means we'll have three Dragons to care for in the future." If Riley was a weaker man, he would have put his gun to his head and ended his problems right there.
"Of COURSE I will! I'll gettcha used to the Dragons so when you get your own, you'll know what to do!" Stella was, of course, oblivious to the plights of her new family. Why should she care? She had a DRAGON. Well, an almost dragon. After a moment or two, there was a look of wide-eyed realization on her face, and even her mouth opened in a momentary "oh". "I'll make sure he doesn't eat you, though." Her promise was sealed with a fisted hand hitting her other open palm. Yellow eyes suddenly looked away, staring around her.
"I'm bored." She called out, not three seconds after her promise to the piglet. "Bookstores are boring. What do you do for fun in a bookstore?" The gaze that had been on some books moved to the stacks themselves, and her pupils began to expand a little bit; a sure sign of mischevious intentions. "I'll race you!" A cheshire grin was on her lips, and she pointed to the top of the nearest stack.
"No you won't, Stella." Riley's call was obviously ignored.

"N-No! Please don't run in the store!" Leo said, echoing some thing his father said constantly as the chubby pig-boy chased after her in a panic, trying to pick up the books she knocked over as he followed her in a tizzy.
Deet let out an audible sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, "...No, no, its alright, I'll clean it up," Deet said in an annoyed tone of voice "...Poor Leo's gonna be a wreck for a while, though..." the large cat man said with chagrin, before turning the topic onto some thing more pleasent, "Hey, you said you had a s-, another kid around Leo's age? Perhaps the two of them could meet. Leo doesn't know any ki-" a loud crash was heard, but Deet managed to keep his composure, "Leo doesn't know any kids his own age yet."

Leo was, of course, ignored. Stella ran through the store anyway...well, as long as something didn't catch her interest. Sadly, as it was a bookstore, there wasn't much TO keep her interest. Eventually she settled for climbing on the stacks again, and one foot knocked over a pile of books that was the cause of the crash the cat man heard. Slowly she lost interest in that too, and submitted to sit on the ground, her legs spread wide and her hands on the floor between them, her ears lowered into her dark hair. "I'm so BORED." Stella wailed, throwing her arms over her head and falling backwards onto the floor. "This is boring. I'm bored. I want to do something fun." She chanted, her yellow eyes jolting to fix on the little pig boy, as if waiting for him to show some some secret fun thing...or perhaps eyeing him up as a new source of fun. He DID make that fun squeal earlier...
"I do, and by comparison, he's a saint." Really, now that he had Stella, he wished he hadn't complained about having Emmet. Emmet was by far the ideal choice of the two. "I think it would be good for Emmet too, to play with a boy his age." The military man mused, scratching his chin. "He's a bit of a social phobe, and Stella's making it worse. I think he and Leo would at least ally together with a common enemy." Which was, of course, the rowdy panther child. He pulled something out of his pocket and handed it to Deet. "My card, for whenever you have free time."
