Ok so I have a small alter I use mostly for rituals and spells. It has a jar of cone incests and a black candle, that is all. Now last night I was going to give my self the equivalent of a magickal Night Quil when I go this weird feeling. It felt like a violating feeling, and a back the ******** off, but kinda weak. Like it could only instill the fear it did, nothing more.
My question is, what should I do?
Play spirit detective?
Banish?
get new alter?
all help would be apreciated
(no, im not gonna yell "MORALITY? GTFO FORUMS" im over that)

Quick update.
I tried for like 5 minutes too call what ever it was, or ask if there was anything out there. I got NO answer. After I realized my lights where not turned off, I tried again with them off. To my shock something DID happen. THe smoke in my incent went OUT OF CONTROL. Like lighting almost in terms of how fast it started burning. The smoke swirled in chaos and I herd some stuff around me. I freaked out because I herd REAL sounds outside my door and from my sides the second I tried to call it. Something like a running animal and skidding.
still need answers...

Are you sure it's a spirit? Or could it be residual energy?
I'm not sure I follow, does the alter harbor that feeling, or is this a newer phenomenon with an older alter?
It could just be what you said it is, a small annoyance. I'm not sure how to solve your problem, but I'm guessing the more you update, the more help you can get.

flood the area with the energies you want around your altar if you have experience with energy work, try and drown it out...

C: Its a new thing with a old alter set up. The fealing is pretty annoying to the point where ive stopped sleeping in my room to avoid the alter all together. It only happens when my lights are off. I might try Talnaris theory if I can figure out what the hell it is. Any tips until them? Such as protection rituals and the like? ( I could just do a banishing ritual, but That seams like a bad idea unless I know if its a being and its evil)

You could try a removal-capture method.
Make a shield that surrounds the altar and keeps anything inside, inside, then move the shield off the altar and onto something to trap it.

I can barely shield, I only know one method and I don't think its that good. From what I can remember, I think psipog has some good information on shielding. But I haven't looked at the site in years...
