What's sad is that all of this is happening, and no one cares. The level of complacency that has reached the people in this country is going to be what executes us, never mind the s**t going on in the White House...

Yeah, it is very easy to see the lack of priority in most citizens you meet on daily basis. If it doesnt effect them directly they don't care.. or thats what alot have told me. I mean Britney Spears having a kid totally effected me directly (sarcastic).
The US doesn't know how not to be Big Brother. Being a peaceful nation and sticking to ourselves like Canada is not something we're used to lol. I remeber sitting in History class last year going over some US laws. We have already told other nations their not allowed to get in our affairs, but it's perfectly legal for us to go 'help' them.

We would be much better off if we were to somehow manage to mind our own business, I agree with you on that. The thing in Afghanistan is one problem, but knowing we had not achieved our objectives there I don't know who thought it would be a good plan to start on another war front in the first place. We have been in this war since I was a freshman in highschool and I am presently a sophomore in college, it's ridiculous. If you're going to do a war, do it right. With adequate funding, a clear plan, a timeline, a deadline and enough soldiers, armor, and weaponry to carry it out. In WWI and II they were rationing things and having people buy war bonds to pay for it. In this one they are cutting our taxes to not pay for it. And you see what happens: insane debt. People need to quit being babies about taxes: things need to be paid for.

Jeez... Now that you mention it, it has been going on a long time. I rember when it first started, was going to lunch in the 5th grade. At the time our school decided that it was safer for children not to know what happened, and even though all the adults were upset we weren't aloud to know. I see that alot how things are now. As a population they think its better for us to just move on and not think about bad things like that. As a kid it didnt make much since to me, but now im a senior getting ready to graduate and get out into the world. The world seem like a great place till you think it means your under the control of the government and paying for their mistakes lol.

Yes most people have their head in the sand. They think if they ignore it, it will just go away or solve itself. It's the deer in the headlights syndrome. The deer is baffled by this bright light (TV, news broadcasts, etc.). The light is so shiny and pretty. It's getting closer and closer. Suddenly the deer realizes that a huge destructive machine (Big Government, iluminati, etc.)is what is causing the light. By the time it realizes and tries to move out of the way it is ripped apart and destroyed by the machine. more often than not, the machine then spins out of control and is destroyed itself. Not a pretty picture, but true nonetheless.

Ultra_jill who made up those facts for all i know those facts could be total bull So.. try fact checking? You should never accept anything at face value. If you find evidence to the contrary please present it. Popping in and saying "it could be bull" is pointless, and troll like.

Now a lot of us can see where our main problems are. There are half the people trying to change the world, and half the people trying to ignore it. And the half that is trying to save it is arguing amongst themselves about whose method is better than whoms, and then you have the other side who doesn't want to do anything, ignore the problem, pissing and moaning that the other side ain't doing s**t to fix anything. I am not saying the side trying to do something has it all right because let's face it, they probably aren't. At least they are doing something and getting no where, then the rest out there getting no where and complaining about it, yet they sit on their butts at home watching TV yelling at the guy on the screen trying to make a difference....
And the world goes round and round... fun fun. ^^

Right. Do nothings criticizing do somethings.
Long as their is beer in the fridge, a game on the tube people can't be bothered. That's a general statement of course. But whatever the vice and pastime the point is so long as people have some small comforts and things aren't "bad enough" a lot of us aren't doing a damned thing. Those of us that are doing things, might not be RIGHT but at least we are trying. Crazy but I have more respect for the counter protesters at every event I have been to than I do for the people that stayed home.

Of course. I hate those kinds of people that complain about everything, yet, having done nothing to make the situation better. Just complain about government and its officials, and yet, don't vote, don't go to protests, don't do anything but accept the fact what TV has said to them as the correct information.
Its a great world when the TV thinks for everyone...
