First off, I'd like to apologize if I sound like a b***h when I say this, but seriously...
IF you are going to post an icon, whether you claim them as your own or say you don't know who they belong to, it's not appropriate! You MUST credit the creators, because many times people on the internet get pissed and upset when someone comes along and takes their icons, posting them in places WITHOUT PERMISSION. I recognize over half of those icons from LiveJournal and several DeviantArt accounts, where, for the most part, people properly credit the creator when they use them. I also believe that posting images without the permission of their creators goes against Gaia TOS as well, but I could be wrong. So, please, if you're going to post something that isn't yours, then ASK the creators. I happen to know of some very prominent icon makers in the FMA fandom, and if someone asked, then they'd be more ablidged to share their creations. Quite a few Xanga websites were shut down because people were stealing icons, and I don't want that to happen to this guild. Technically, if you do not have the explicit permission of the artist/creator to post or use their works, then you're stealing their images. Like taking pretty fanart from a Japanese website without contacting the artist and posting it on your website.
Okay, I think that's the end of my rant. sweatdrop Just thought I'd point that out.
