Her name is Oscar. We got her the other day as a rescue cat, she was starved and living in horrid conditions. Mom's in-hone care-worker thinks it is a pure bred Persian(duh it's a Persian, but pure bred?).
She's pretty sweet but hates other cats and dogs. Mom is planning on having her be a one-room-cat like my Cocoa is, meaning she doesn't leave the bedroom except under supervision.
She apparently ha some issues jumping like her back legs aren't very strong. She has most of her teeth but when I looked at them today one of the canine teeth on her lower jaw looked bloody so I suggested mom take the cat to the vet so a vet can look at her teeth to be sure her canines aren't growing into the roof of her mouth (which seems likely to me because her mouth is pretty small but her canines are very long). Also she hasn't been eating much of the dry kibble that mom has, but when mom gave her canned wet food she wolfed it down indicating a sore mouth.
Her face is so dirty because she has some nasal/sinus issues that makes her nose run a lot and her eyes weepy. When she is up on mom's bed she doesn't have the weepy/running problems but when she gets on the floor she starts having lots of problems with her nose, which makes mom think she has a dust allergy (our floors are extremely dusty due to the area we live in). Ideally I would have mom get the cat tested for a chronic respiratory disease that cats can get but testing would probably be expensive, and we'd not be able to medicate for it most likely.
Mom thinks the cat is at least three years old.
She currently has a lot of mats in her fur due to the conditions she was forced to live it before we got her. Mom is going to have her mats professionally shaved out.
And my hands hurt so I'm done typing for now D;
TL;DR
We has a new cat ;D
