The rogue boss was silent as Blade approached, his gaze calculating though it was pinned on the fire rather than the young man. "Everythin'." came the simple enough reply, his voice a low rumble. "From th' start to th' beginnin'. What ya saw, what they're doin'.... an' what defenses they had to keep ya at bay."

Theirs was a dangerous line of work, opposing the two most powerful factions that had come to a tentative alliance. The boss didn't believe this stranger to be the reason for Raze's disappearance--but he'd know for certain once he heard his story. It was true that dead men told no tails... but Raze had been a fairly decent pilot. If this guy told something other than what he knew to be true, well...

...Looks like they'd be needing a new scout.

Nodding, Blade looked down towards the boss and the fire while thinking of where to start exactly. And before long, he began.

"It started off real smooth. Almost too easy... The hover cargo you had us scout just had a few rev raptors and molgas guarding it. We had no problem sneaking into the back of the hover cargo. Inside... weren't exactly zoids you'd think the Imperials would be interested in. They were all highly customized zoids.."

There, he paused a bit.

"It was dark in there so Raze went to go in further. But we weren't alone. I heard Raze go down so I went to see what happened. His zoid had already taken a lot of damage. I never got a good look at whatever had attacked him, but it was kinda blue in color. Raze insisted that I leave him to finish the mission."

Again, he paused, to try and remember what happened next exactly. It had gone by that the moments were a bit of a blur.

"I didn't want to, but I did. And whatever was in there with us at the time started to come after me as well. For some reason it didn't follow me out the Hover Cargo though. The Zoids outside... they started to attack me, but what happened next was a bit odd. From the cargo... the blue zoid let out a roar, and the rev raptors started to chase me away."

Blade looked away from the fire and towards both the command wolf he borrowed, as well as the shield liger further in the distance. He wasn't entirely certain if the boss would believe him, but he told everything as it went. In any case, he wasn't expecting any payment any more considering this gang ended up losing a member as the result of this.

The boss begun to rub his temples at this news. "Boy, ye are a coward... Ya had a mission ta do and ya blew it boy..." He growled as he looked up at blade with a none to amused frown. "I hav' every right ta kill ya fer revenge on Raze. Or perhaps I'd keep ye fer a slave?"

He folded his arms across his chest. "So what'll it be than?" He stood and waited for an answer.

Twitching at the gang leader's words, Blade soon frowned at the proposition the man seemed to give him. He knew things wouldn't go well upon his return, but there wasn't much that could be done about the past at this point.

"The mission was only to find out what was inside the Hover Cargo; that was completed," he started calmly, "As for what happens now; if you feel so inclined to kill me, then do it. I'd rather die than give up my freedom."

There was a pause as he thought on what to say next.

"Either way, I wouldn't be laying down at your feet to do as you will. Personally I'd try to figure out what it was that guarded the innards of the cargo. It's not too often that the people you try to steal from end up chasing you away in a manner that makes it seem like they're trying to save you from something horrible."

[A laugh came from the table at the corner of the tent, where three other sat.

One briskly looking old timer, with a hat and a scar that looked to cost him his left eye; it was mostly hidden amongst a face of fur. He sat calmly paying no mind to the conversation at hand as he took a swig from his dirty cup. A mangled cigar in his other hand, keep ash on the end. The laugh was far to young to be his.

A woman sat polishing a old pistol, a vary old fashion one. Maybe only carried one shot. Her red hair was mostly hidden by a worn dark blue bandana. She adorned that of a blood red coat, the cuffs dazzled with cream colored ruffles. She was far to interested in her gun to have cared about the interruption. She looked to be one to keep to her own business.

The third leaned back in his chair, his dirty boots rest on the table to keep his recline. His hand swept back dark hair from his gaze, reviling the top of emerald eyes; covered by a set of halfmoon shaped seeing glasses

"If not laying at his feet, I can see you on your knees...." The dark haired man easily commented with a snarky tone and grin

-----

"Ya sound to much like a military dog boy...." He grinned at the dark haired man's words. How true was that? He briefly looked at the dark haired man with a nod. Than when his gaze returned to Blade he frowned once more.

"Your brother was suffering an' ya leave 'em to die? That is not a rogue. First rule o' the land; Protect your bros, and they will return yer favor." The leader added his own flavor to the saying, but the message was the same.

"No matter what was goin' on over there, you ran like a p***y." He looked to a glass of milk that had been resting on the table. With a huff he backhanded the cup toward Blade. "Drink up p***y boy."

While waiting for the response, he glanced around at the others that were sitting in the area. His eyes narrowed at the bystander who commented, but said nothing to the guy. Once the boss spoke up again, he looked back and gave an inward sigh. Chances were that no matter what he ended up saying, things wouldn't go in his favor.

"Say what you want, but there was nothing I could have done for him. Not against something I couldn't see," he said before turning to try and avoid getting drenched in milk, "There's no telling if Raze is dead for sure, and quite frankly you should be glad someone managed to get back in one piece in the first place."

One thing was for certain; he was being reminded why he didn't care to join any gangs earlier on. While he felt remorse that he couldn't have done anything for the Rogue, he didn't exactly appreciate how things were going down here.

"Maybe if you saw him; heard him as he pleaded weakly for me to get out of there, or saw the dismembered and mangled command wolf when a few minutes before it had been perfectly find, then you'd understand. But I doubt it."

There were a few things this rogue could have said that would have helped his case, but unfortuenately he had said none of them.

"He was suffern' boy? And you still did nothin'? Every word you say boy makes me believe more that y'er a coward and a p***y. You 'ave no 'onor... even for a scum. "

"You were not thinkn' 'ov the options. You just wanted ta run boy. That's why you 'er so blind.... still are." He frowned and shook his head before looking back at the man wearing the glasses. "So, what ye think should be done?"

The dark haired man, let out a breath that was almost mocking to the idea as a wild smirk curled at the corner of his lips.

Well the Boy wasn't running now, trying to find a way out of it yes....but not running now.

"Though the b***h'n and moaning, I think I hear something about wanting to be 'understood'?" The man spoke moving a hand though his hair slipping it backwards. The 'bystander' laughed.

"s**t happens in jobs like ours, Jackal." The rouge spoke looking over to the boss. He then slipped his legs off the table and straightened from it. "But this kid only seems to be collecting and rolling it into a bigger ball."

"Don't play the victim here kid." The bystander spoke walking pass the older Rouge at the table. He moved hand to the elder's shoulder and patted him a repectful brother motion. The Darkhaired man tossed the cards to the table for a fold. A winning hand, turned over to deal with this 'kid'.

"You accepted this mission, and any s**t that would go down with it." He spoke and turned his head to the boss.

The man started to speak again. Before the small brown hair girl broke the gathering, quickly.

"Bring him back then!" The girl demanded, her eyes looked as if she had been cry. In secret of course, if asked if she had been showing tears it would be quickly denied. Her fist clinched tightly as she looked over to Blaze.

"You said he might be alive! Didn't you!?" She called

The bystander turned his head to Jackal, and simply folded his arms.

Well that didn't help his case at all. As he took more heat from the Boss and bystander, he remained silent for the time being. It was irritating, to say the least, but trying to lash back would likely make things worse. But soon, his attention was brought around to the girl that had been sitting by. Like the pilot that had greeted him and let him into the camp, she seemed to be taking Raze's disappearance hard. Though she was able to hide it better.

"Very well. If I'm wrong and he isn't, the least I could do at this point is bring back his body anyway," he said grimly before looking towards the boss, "If you let me that is. If I'm lucky and move fast enough, the Hover Cargo won't have entered the Imperial base yet."

Jackal shook his head.
"Boy, we already sent a few ta fin Raze. I wouldn't send ya on a 'nother job for me as long as I live." He stood to his feet with his arms folded tightly over his chest.

"Now get outta my sights ya coward. We are done here...." He frowned as he motion to the tent door with a nod.

"It's already Done?" The girl asked surpised to the boss. Her eyes started to burn again, as if they threaten to spill over with tears.

"hmpth." Came from the dark haired man as he slipped his middle and forefinger to push his glasses more over his green gaze.

Looking between the three, Blade narrowed his eyes before glancing at the tent door.

"Just remember, there's a fine line between what you call courage and being a fool," he uttered before making his way out. A part of him felt that the man had lied about sending people out... considering there were no points in which he could have given the order for a search party.

The boss mad didn't even look to Blade as he he left the tent, nor would he reveal how he got such a message across to his gang. The man, he felt, was not worth the time.

He glanced over to the obviously upset woman for the first time this whole interaction. "Aye, We'll hear word in no time. Ye can count on that. No get out, we'll letcha know what the time comes" He sounded rather annoyed. Nothing like an upset sobing woman to make the matter worse....

The bystander, didn't say anything. Only remained silent, not even caring to knowledge the last of the newcomer's words.

The girl made a nod, a arm moved over her eyes wiping away what was there. She move quietly to the exit as well, to wait to hear news on Raze.

EDIT: -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jackal looked over to "bystander" with the most unamused expression. "So, what'd ya think Riot? Should I just kill'em? Coward's like that give us a bad rap..." He stopped himself from venting too much to the guy. Instead he folded his arms across his chest and waited for a reply.

Riot let out a sigh and removed the glasses that cover his eyes, he turned his head to the fire. His other hand moved over his eye lids and he removed the contacts that had made his natural blue eyes green.

Putting the two items away he replaced the 'seeing' glasses with sunglasses.

"First offense, let him off. Give him a chance to man up." The bandit King sighed, as he slipped the sunglasses over his blue gaze.

"Beyond that, I don't give a flying ******** what you do with him." Riot spoke craning his head over his shoulder to look at Jackal.

He understood Jackal's feeling about it, there where way to many posers running around; claiming stuff like they where bad a** loners. Think of themselves 'too good' to be in a gang.

Well that was true on one account. 'too good' and the concept of 'bandit' did not go together.
