
The small black-and-white form glided nervously over uneven terrain amidst the searing heat. Cyan eyes darted with the same speed as his feet while Panda-chan sought shelter from the imminent rain. The humidity was oppressive and strangling him, and it pervaded his senses, flooding his lungs with what felt like fear.
Panda-chan's features were furrowed and distorted with eyebrows drawn and mouth turned down at the corners as it drew in every rapid breath. The heat - presumably - gave him such an unpleasant sensation that only drove him further. Equal to that drive was the longing for the comfort from Kure, and the heat of his nearness ever welcome, even in a squalor like this. But he was fleeting, and far, leaving his mate unattended and, perhaps even afraid.
