Ok, so I finally got my games, and I'm trying to play them. But these are my first HM's, so I have some questions.
In DS Cute, I have the love bangle so I can see that everyone's levels drop so fast! Do I really have to say hi every single day to keep these people my friends? And I'm doing everything I think I can to get close to Skye; I change clothes everyday, I bring him the presents he likes, but he keeps dropping to 0. I can't figure out why! Also, I don't know how to get the fishing rod. I know I have to visit Galen at his house on a sunny Saturday between noon and 1. But I did that and I still didn't get a rod!
And in IoH I'm totally frustrated. Not only is Vaughn a total jerk every time I talk to him, I can deal with that, but Taro moves so much I can't give him any gifts! I keep wasting my wild grasses. And as a new player, it's my main source of money and stamina. Though I just received my first cow.
So, any advice for me about these? I'm sure it's all old hat for most of you. Please lend me some tips!

Vagun is awsome I love his additude towards everything but anyways you can just tap on Taro Don't drag and drop I havn't drop anything yet so it work single thing yet. A cow? You haven't gotten a chicken yet?

No, I know I'm supposed to have a chicken before I can get my dog, but I went for a cow first. I figure by the time I have the money to build the bridge to the forest to find the dog I'll have gotten a chicken barn.
