lol.
apparently there was a Stormwind raid on The Scryers today. dont know how exactly, probably a warlock and some rogues ran through ironforge and summoned everyone on the ironforge entrance, but there was a nasty sized raid that come out of the SW entrance of the Tram.
and for the first time i decided to join in on the defense. for the first bit we got our asses handed to us. mainly because they were camping the tram portal and have us half dead before our screens even left that mocking image of the smiling gnome.
after we started to organize, we were systematically moving in and out in waves, taking three out and then going back through the portal so we could rest and the next group can go.... okay, thats a ******** lie. we ******** rushed them Persians. it was really fun. and they kept coming back over and over. my roommate kept me updated when i was doing an AB run. apparently, what they were doing was hiding out in the various hoses in teh dwarven district. so we were laying waste and playing a game of freakin marco polo..... of death trying to find them.
murdering people to the dulcet tones of Jonathan Coulton: priceless
there was talk of a Silvermoon raid in retaliation because, as i put it, 'their city is too damn shiny' but as you can see, its about 4 in the morning right now and i need some goddamn sleep.
so, you got a good city raid story?

Dear, your signature scares the crap out of me some days. Today is that day.
When I was leveling my main (I was a whole whopping 33), my guild decided to do a random dancing party in the middle of Orgrimar. It cracked me up because I could not walk more than three feet without having a whole horde of NPCs on me.
The others got to their bank and did their thing. But this troll mage kept on bugging them. So they coordinated on vent to take him to a corner and kill him before making their "grand exit". Needless to say, one of the guys spoke up before we killed him.
Kragen: Hey, isn't that Sentallak guy an alt of one of our guildies?
Rivini: It sounds familiar...
Me: ohshit, I think it's Rinnae...
Rinnae: [insert evil maniacal laughter here]
It was fun that night, leading the troll to the exact spot where I would res and watch the NPCs kill me in two seconds. I never made it to the bank.

Pre-BC... Before the server hardware was updated we managed to have a 8 full raid groups raid on Org. We had a battle plan which raid groups went to the front/back entrances. As soon as we got to thrall the World server went down... Everyone tried to log back on after the realm came up... But the server went down again. We crashed the server with that stupid raid...

When I was 68, there was this 70 nelf priest running around in Org near the bank. Me being a priest myself, I was confused as to how she had gotten in by herself and lived and how she had beaten off all her attackers, but the thought didn't stay in my head for long as I casted a Mind Blast, cackling.
Oh god. Not only did it do s**t and all to her, but I threw everything I had at her, and barely even scratched her.
I armouried her later- she had almost 14k hp and something like 500 resil with a strong pvp disc/holy build- nigh unstoppable. Even later I found out she had an armoured netherdrake and was somewhat of a pvp legend on Rexxar Alliance. Who knew biggrin
To her credit she didn't gank me unmercilessly- just shrugged me off and waited til I got bored. Best disc priest ever.

It wasn't even what you'd call a raid. Ten of us guildies after finishing a badge run of Kara got bored and decided to do the Barov Family quest chain for Scholomance, and got the Barov Peasant Caller. Now we wanted to test them out, so we all snuck in the back way to Undercity through the sewers, made our way to the area in the middle where the bank is, and popped all of our trinkets at once to watch the chaos among the lowbies. xD Then we ran out and chased the 70's around and killed and got killed for a while, it was mad fun.
