March to Live!
Let me ask this...do you ever ask cheerleaders if their uniforms and tumbling and dance routines are too much? No. Why? Because that's who they are.
When you are in marching band, and you truly appreciate it, the uniform and the marching is part of who you are. I heard my alma mater's pregame for the first time last saturday from the stands, and that wall of sound from the opening note after the band turns towards the stands in perfect synchronization-- the black of the capes changing to the white of the jackets-- is just an amazing audio visual experience.
