I have lavender in my little garden and it's always lovely smelling. The other day I noticed the tops were dried and dead. I was about to cut them off when I noticed that they smelled more wonderful then when they were alive. Since the new room I live in is a bit damp and dark, I decided to make myself a satchel to put in a drawer.

Lavender
Lavender in my hand
The start
Halfway through
All done

And I managed to fix my blanket too

eek I found my orange blanket in a motor home that we bought. It keeps me the PERFECT temperature. The similarities between us is very scary. O_o

Pixie - my neighbour has a immense amount of lavender. Mine probably has twenty little bits on it, hers would have hundreds. :3 I'll have to ask her for some - it saddens me that it'll go to waste.

.. sad your pictures don't work anymore...

I've been trying to grow lavendar (indoors, and in my flowerbox and garden) and the only one that's sprouted so far is indoors. Do you have any suggestions or helpful hints? I've been using organic fertilizer and minimal composting.

i stuck my lavender in the ground in a sunny spot and it's more or less thrived through neglect. I didn't even ammend the soil at all. just plopped the plant in a hole.
