Bel was in a horribly chipper mood this morning. He'd had a wonderful nights sleep as the drider had left him well alone for once, and he was generally quite looking forward to the day! He was working with Arach as it happened, down in his workshop! Along with working with Prau, well.. destroying Prau's creations it really was one of his favourite pass times! He was actually useful which was fantastic! And he got to use his fairly powerful fire magic, which was always a bonus as well.
Tieing his hair back out of his face with a long black tie he pushed the door to the workshop open with a curious little tilt of his head. "Arach?" he called out, "I was told you needed me today, so here I am!" he smiled slightly as he stepped inside, avoidin a strange contraption that looked like it might once have been a combination of a piece of farm machinery and a large scythe... it looked like it rotated, messy... all the better really!
Pausing not too far into the room he waited for the oldest of the three G'eld brothers to appear, he was sure he'd turn up before long.

Arach had been in the workshop "wreck room" when he heard his destructive assistant call. And yes he had spelt the term correctly, for this was the room where he stored all his wrecked machienery in case they came in handy. It was also where he took the occasional nap and cup of mushroom tea.
He wondered out into the main workshop, a steaming mug in one hand and an Almanac in the other, looking a tad confused. Then a flicker of recognition moved across his battered face with a hint of fear. Sure, the other male was useful, but he tended to overdo things.
"Ah yes...Bel." he said with a smile "I thought you could perhaps put some flame enchantments on the new axeblades today."

"Oooh! I'm getting good at that!" Bel stated happily in responce to the request, "I've been practising on anything that holds still long enough! Last time I got a salamander... I attached a spell to its tail so that when Shi'n tried to pick it up it flared at him!" he looked decidedly pleased about that... "My aim's much better as well... I thought I should work on that after I managed to attach one of the last batch to the handle..." he smiled sheepishly up at the weapons master. "I promise I won't do that again..." he chuckled and scuttled closer to his 'master' and stood beside him. "You'll have to tell me what power level you want for them, and also sensitivity... or I won't know what they should react and burst to... also.." he paused for a moment, "I've been working on multiple cast spells... I think I can almost make the element effect permanent... it weakens at the moment, but I am getting there with it!" he smiled again, "Did I do good?"

"Multiple Spells!" cried Arach "Thats brilliant. And I was thinking perhaps we could find a way of the spell reacting to blood or perhaps another metal. That way we can double the weapon's damage or be able to blast through an opponents shield or their weapon," Arach was beginning to get ahead of himself again. Inspiration was tiring.

"I liked the idea of the multiple casts.. it makes it all the more burny!" The little Drow stated with a delighted grin, "Which makes the fight all the more pretty and easy to win!" he clapped his hand once before letting his eyes flick back to Arach... "Metal or blood.. that.. should be easy enough I think.. I'll just need to make sure I use the rights gestures this time.. as last time blood ended up as red wine I think.. but as I said.. practice practice!" he tipped his head, once more to the side and smiled.
"So... are we talking metal melting magma? Or something milder? I can do either as my power's pretty high at the moment..." he nodded again, his eyes gleaming, "And you will test one out won't you? I love watching the fire burst out each time.. its just beautiful..."

"I certainly will test it. Maybe even on another drow." Said Arach happily, taking a sip from his cup which read "you don't have to be homicidal to work here but it sure helps."
"As for strength, it can't be too massive. I want our men to survive for the most part. So general explosions aren't good, but a concentrated heat source that goes in one direction, like a fireball would be good.

Bel rubbed his chin for a moment.."I think I can do a fireball without too much trouble... its just binding the spell a little closer and telling it where you want it to go..." he very thoughtfully brushed his fingers over his chin once again and nodded, "Yes.. I think that would work okay.. where are the blades? I'll have a go with one and tell you how many I should be able to do today... how many do you need done actually? Its a little more draining to do the multiple casts but I think its going to be better in the long run actually..." he flicked the two tails of hair he had at the front back over his shoulder and looked up at Arach, "Oh.. I meant to tell you, that funny purple assassin lady was here again the other day.. I don't her you were a little buried in your stock room, was that okay?"

Arach smiled nervously. That house of assassins was obviously running out of manfolk again. This was not good. He's narrowly avoided her the last time she had visited but who knew when he might be caught off guard.
"Um...yes...blades" Blades were a safe subject. they could still kill you but Arach had spent his life learning about blade killings and not ladykillings. "They're right over there. Just do one for today and then we can try some tests."

"Okay!" Bel said brightly, scuttling across the room to select one of the blades to work his very literal magic on. He selected on, being careful not to cut himself as he had done in the past, and settled it on another section of work surface before concentrating on it for a moment, frowning slightly, tilting his head from one side to the other. "Okay..." he mused quietly, tapping a fingernail on the blade again. "I think I can do this now..." with a small smile on his lips he began to form the spell, it took longer to do this than it did to simply cast the spell as he had to form it, wrap it up tightly in a little bubble of nul-magic so that it couldn't escape and make sure it wasn't going to literally just blow up in his face before it was supposed to.. it took a fair bit of concentration, but he enjoyed it so what did it matter?
Eventually it came to pressing the small bubble of spell into all the little teeny tiny gaps in between the little particles of metal that made up the sharp edge of the axe, so that no matter where the blow came from, the magic would be released, then he had to tell it what to do... still muttering his odd words, the incantation, he gave the magic its instructions, his eyes glowing a firey reddy orange all the while he worked.
Eventually the job was done and with a slightly tired smile he held the blade out to Arach... "There you go!"

Arach smiled. The little drow had certainly outdone himself this time. The axe now glowed an unsettling colour every now and then, promising a lot of violence and pain. Now if only there was a peasant to test his handywork on, or even a purple clad assassin woman.
"Brilliant." He said happily. "I think a trip to the training grounds might be in order."
