Just wondering...why is it often bashed for being much different than a lot of Bowie's stuff? It's one of the only albums by anyone that can relate to me personally in its songs. I own it in three mediums. xd
So what is everyone else's opinion on it?

I always loved it myself.. I can't see how anyone whould hold 'being different' against a bowie album.. he's all about re-invention.. maybe it's 'too mushy' for some people. . . but thats one of the charms I enjoy <3

I don't know about the difference thing...that's just the excuse I get a lot. Maybe it's " too different"

I like the first half of the album. It kind of loses my intrest after "Miracle Goodnight", and the title song dosen't do a whole lot for me, either. For me, it's a splotchy, but still respectable, tranisition album from his horrificly bad 80s music, and his beautiful reinvention in the 90s. 3nodding
