The Seahawks have been hit hard by the injury bug, more than I've seen in a while. Deion Branch, Rob Sims, Bobby Engram, Nate Burleson, Maurice Morris, Sean Locklear and Ben Obomanu are out Sunday. Lofa Tatupu has a banged up knee, which may hurt his play, and Marcus Trufant has a hurt hand.
Their recievers are down to starting a drop prone player who has a total of 2 catches. Seneca Wallace the quarterback is on the other side I believe.

Yeah, huge injuries for the Seahawks. Top four receivers out, as well as a backup running back. Kind of makes them regret letting Hackett and Shaun Alexander loose, huh?
...They need to trust their defense and RB Julius Jones to keep them in games, until most players return healthy.

Matt Hasselbeck is a great quarterback and all, but when two of your starting linemen are out and your top four receivers are out you're going to struggle a lot. I bet Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would struggle.

Spike The Super Saiyan i say about time. 4 the past few years they basicly been getting a free pass into the playoffs because of there suck-a** division. Cardnals=nfc west champs The Cardinals do not have a good defensive line, linebackers, or offensive line to carry them into the playoffs. The Seahawks have the best defense in the NFC West by far, and should be getting a few players returning from injury pretty soon. I don't know whether the Seahawks will reach double digit wins this season, but I still have to place them as favorites to win the division. Holmgren won't go out quiet in his final season.

I think that the Cardinals have arguably the best front seven in the division from top to bottom. The Seahawks have great linebackers and one good player on the defensive line, the 49ers have a few good linebackers and a few solid players on the defensive line, the Rams, well they're the Rams, and the Cardinals have 3 good linebackers and a couple of good players on the defensive line

The Seahawks probably have the best defensive line in the division, and maybe even the best linebacker core. The 49ers are in a close 2nd at linebacker. Come to think of it, the whole division has a pretty good team of linebackers.

Kerney is great but Mebane and Bernard are only average while Jackson is an unproven rookie while the Cards have two good players, though neither is as good as Kerney, in Travis Laboy and Darnell Dockett and a couple of solid players. The Seahawks starting three linebackers are undoubtedly better than the Cardinals but the Cardinals have depth there while the Seahawks don't

Arizona plays a 4-3, and still, their defensive tackles do get pressure on the opposing QB or stop the run. Watson, Dockett, and Robinson give up crucial yardage to running backs.

I disagree. Last year the Cardinals allowed less rushing yards, less rushing touchdowns, and the same yards per carry as the Seahawks and in 2006 the Cardinals allowed only 4.1 yards per carry to Seattle's 4.6.

If I'm not mistaken though, the Cardinals gave up the most rushing first downs in the NFC West last season. If you hold an opponent to over 4 yards a carry, it's still bad in proportion to a 10 yards per first down. Collectively that sounds good, but they gave up too many big plays on the ground.
