Placeholders An Introduction to MPC'sMPC's (a term originally coined by myself) are characters made for the use of everyone that already has an approved Human character, to help rps along. For instance, imagine your character and another character want to rp together in a thread where both characters were already rping, but in different areas. For instance, your character is in Goat Camp, and the character you want to rp with is up in the mountains somewhere, but they're roleplaying in the same thread, or your character starts out in Goat Camp and needs to get to the mountains. How will you get your character up there without having two or three double posts that detail your character's journey up the mountain? Here's where a character like Mistress Maunt will come in. You can have her send your character up in the mountains to deliver a message, or something like that. Whatever you want - within reason. She's there to help move things along. (Plus, it's fun to rp someone besides your own character sometimes, even if you don't want to get a whole 'nother character approved). However, you can't ONLY rp an MPC, as I'll come back to later. The idea for MPC's was originally thought of by me and Geyser, in the Goats, Goats, Goats, and more Goats rp. My character, Rikia, who is blind, was being introduced, and I made a slight reference to an unnamed woman who was fussing over 'the poor little blind girl'. Then Geyser's character gave her a name... and we kind of bounced her character back and forth and came up with the idea to make her a character anyone could use, similar to a Non Player Character (NPC) but not exactly the same, because usually NPC's can only be played by shop staff. WARNING: MPC RULES MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE AS THIS TYPE OF CHARACTER IS RELATIVELY NEW AND WE MAY NEED TO WORK OUT A FEW THINGS LATER.

I'm bad at typing pronounciations. xd I'm sure you get the basic idea) Nickname: None really, but most call her simply Mistress Maunt. Gender: Female Age: It changes every time you ask her, but she's old. xd Like, Middle aged... Maybe a young-ish grandma age. xd Race: Human Appearance: Old. Slightly pudgy although she pretends otherwise. Salt and pepper hair (but mostly pepper). Green eyes. light complexion. Medium height... Dresses modestly 'as is proper'. Date recieved: 9-10-08 Mates: none. (who would want an old bat like her?! o.o) Offspring: none Likes: Gossiping. Dislikes: Hill folk. 'Improper' things. Disrespecting Young Folk. Shame being cast on the Maunt Family. Personality: Mistress Maunt is a busy body who frowns upon those considered... 'improper'. She particularly despises those such as the Hill folk. Imagine! Living up there without even the simplest amenities. She also frowns upon young people, who don't respect their elders in the slightest! Mistress Jogi Maunt (Character History)
History: Mistress Jogi Maunt is a low-class member of a high-class family. That's honestly probably the best way to put it. You see, all of Mistress Maunt's family lives in Niffin as a really well-to-do family, who pretty much rule the town, with members of the extended family owning many shops and services around the town. They have an extremely pure past, free of any scandals... except for one.
Mistress Maunt's grandparents (long dead now) frowned upon the marriage of Jogi's mother and father (who are also now dead). Jogi's parents eloped, running off to goat camp. Mistress Maunt has lived there all her life. She's proud to be a member of the Maunt family, but the main body of the family isn't so thrilled to have her associated with them.
Mistress Maunt's greatest hope is to someday go to Niffin - at least on a visit - and get away from Goat Camp, even if it's just for a little while. Unfortunately, the Maunt family's greatest hope is that she'll stay in Goat camp so that they can pretend there one true scandal has been forgotten. Mistress Maunt has kept contact with some of her extended family members, but in all truth they'd be satisfied if she forgot all about them.
Mistress Maunt never married, as she was always waiting for that special sophisticated man to come in and sweep her off her feet. She was waiting for a husband from Niffin, when the only men around her were all goat herds. She lives alone, without even a pet, since she considers them filthy creatures. She's slightly lonely at times...
As depressing as this is, Mistress Maunt doesn't really have many true friends. She has a few ladies that she plays cards with once a week, but usually Jogi sets off an air of thinking she's better than anyone else, which often blocks the path to friendship.
Goat camp is a small place, and although not many truely like her, Mistress Maunt does have a way of worming information out of people. This means that if something happens in Goat Camp that you don't want anyone to know about? Chances are Mistress Jogi Maunt will know about it soon... and so will everyone else.

Mistress Maunt's Character Relations
With MPC's, it's important that everyone rp's them the same way in response to certain people. That's why I would like you to read through - if not all of these character relations - at least the relations that have to do with your category of character.
There are three Human categories thus far, in my understanding. Niffin Townspeople, Goat Camp Residents, and Hill Folk. Right now there are few enough human characters that if Mistress Maunt interacts with them, I'll post a specific reaction to that character. This may change if the number of human characters grows.
Niffin Townspeople
Mistress Maunt's greatest hope is to someday be a part of this category. She practically idolizes the Niffin people, because she understands them to be much more sophisticated and important than those people that currently surround Mistress Maunt. Meanwhile, Niffin People - particularly those in the Maunt Family - hold a certain disdain for her, which MM tends to ignore. (She's in denial, the poor dear. xd )
Goat Camp Residents
This group of people is the one that MM will probably be interacting with the most, since Mistress Maunt herself is included in this category. Mistress Maunt holds a disdain for this group of people, however, much like the kind of disdain that the Niffin Townspeople have for the Goat Camp Residents. She seems to think that she's better than many of the people surrounding her, and she doesn't really have any good friends among these people. Also, Jogi loves to gossip about what's going around town, and she's always looking for that next juicy tidbit about someone...
Rikia - Mistress Maunt has a great amount of pity for this 'little blind girl' and is always trying to help her with things Rikia really doesn't need help with. Usually she only ends up hindering Rikia. Also, MM has a great deal of respect for Rikia, since she originally comes from a wealthy family in Niffin, and has some connections there.
Sen - (I can't remember his full name. xd I'll look it up later and change it) This human character also comes from Niffin (and I believe, originally Fish Camp) but MM doesn't have NEARLY as much respect for him. She distrusts him, and is just a tad... terrified. By his voilent behavior. Usually if he's around, she'll either scold him or hurry away in a huff.
Hill Folk
Hill Folk is the group that is second-most-likely to interact with Mistress Maunt, since they're usually a lot closer to Goat Camp than Niffin is. Mistress Maunt is repulsed by the Hill Folk. They're so uncivilized! Living up in the hills doing who-knows-what... But at the same time Mistress Maunt is also slightly obsessed with them, since once again her gossiping nature had convinced her brain that she absolutely MUST find out what the hill folk are hiding.
Luckily, Mistress Maunt is also scared silly of them, so I doubt she's ever going to be able to get near enough to them to find out what their big secret is. ^^
Also, some of the Hill Folk absolutely HATE Mistress Maunt, so if you use her around any of them? It's best to have her run away screaming immediately, because they will KILL her... Seriously. Elfy's Hill Folk characters have issued threats. o.o

RPing Restrictions and Guidelines
1. No using Mistress Maunt when her status is Closed.
2. Rp usage must fit with her current location. You can't make her wander around in the mountains just because it fits your purpose.
3. You must have an ALREADY APPROVED human character to use Mistress Maunt.
4. You cannot make Mistress Maunt your only character in an rp.
5. You most post the rp information in this thread after you use Mistress Maunt.
6. Rp usage must fit with her personality. Mistress Maunt is a grouchy old busybody. You can't suddenly make her a kind-hearted soul who gives kittens to little children.
7. Please read ALL of Mistress Maunt's information before using her in an rp.

Mistress Maunt's Diary
September 14th,
I've decided to keep this journal to record my innermost thoughts... I hear it's what all the wealthy women in Niffin are doing! How sophisticated!
Now, the other day this poor little girl came in from Niffin. She's blind since birth, the poor thing! I tried to help her get to where she'll be staying, but then that dog of hers - what a filthy creature - got under her feet and tripped her up! And then that awful Sen boy came around and scolded me! That boy obviously has NO respect for his elders. I'm sure the ladies would agree... I'll tell them about it when we play cards tomorrow! For now I must go, since my tea is done and my throat is parched from breathing in this filthy dust that covers the town. I bet they don't have any dust in Niffin! HA. Farewell for now!

If you try to use her when her status is closed, you will be given a warning and I will ask you to rewrite her out of your post, since when the status is closed it often means we're adding information that might be crucial to her rp'age and stuff.
