Stepping from the bushes, he moved a few feet into the clearing. There were plenty of directions to take. Tossing his head back, he let out a crazy laugh and his tongue lolled free. There was little reason for the outburst. He was just happy with life was all. Or that was what it seemed like. Breaking into a run, he pushed past feet of the clearing with ease. Of course, his unfed form tired not long after the romp and he slowed, eventually stopping and flopping onto his side in a small bunch of flowers. Heavy breath came from him, making him sound quite a bit like a panting dog.

 Aradeleon hovered above the ground, his feet barely brushing the top of the tall grass that filled the clearing he had stumbled upon. His eyes were trained on a butterfly that fluttered harmlessly a few tail lengths in front of him. As it began to fly off, Leon smiled and began to follow. It was cute, pretty, and would probably lead him to a plant with pollen, which could make for some good eating. Leon would only hunt if it was absolutely necessary for his survival, and seeing as the hunger pains were minimal, it wasn't needed for today.
Leon continued hover along slowly following the movements of the butterfly. Finally, after a few long minutes, the bug landed on a small bushel of flowers which seemed very appetizing at the moment. With barely a sound, Leon landed on the ground and watched the butterfly carefully. Finally, after having its fill of nectar, the bug flew off and Leon was free to feast on the flowers. But just as he was leaning over to rip the delicious smelling foliage out by the roots, Leon spotted and black figure panting heavily amongst the grass. He peered at the new individual and blinked, not sure of what to say in the spur of the moment.

Unaware at first, the panting male went on with his rest undaunted. It didn't take long before his body completely relaxed and the feeling began to return to his muscles. He yawned loudly and sucked his tongue back in. Time to get moving again. Curling his paws in, he moved to rise. Of course, the close proximity of the other male was revealed to him as soon as he did so. Looking momentarily surprised, his ears perked. "Well, hello, there," he said, maw immediately splitting in a trademark toothy grin.
Fully rising, he forgot about any plans to move on and, instead, moved rather close to his new and handsome company. It wasn't that his understanding of personal space was limited. No, in fact, he knew it very well. It was just that his idea of personal space was different than most. He didn't need a whole lot of it.
A bit shorter than the average normal kylan (while regaining dignity by being larger than a mini), he looked up to view the other male, who he must have been nearly on top of by now. Out behind him, his slender tail wagged in a happy manner.

Aradeleon glanced longingly at his meal of flowers for just a moment before deciding to forget about eating for a bit. Leon was a strange stickler for etiquette, and even though he always did what he thought would be least rude, Leon did not care much about what other Ky didl. So he looked back at Slayn before straitening himself up so that he sat with his back straight and watched the new male with keen interest. He gave a soft smile of his own and did not move as the new male drew closer, "Good day..." Leon nodded politely and wagged his tail just slightly, curious about this new firey maned male.

Reactions to his personality were always different. This sort of reaction was very different, opposite, even. There weren't many times were he could remember others not backing away when he invaded what they believed to be their personal space. He would retreat, if asked. However, with the other's silence on the matter, he decided it was an invitation to continue being himself. "So, handsome, do you have a name?" he questioned idly, not moving from where he stood. Instead, he lifted his skeletal paw, flexing it toward the white male's wings. It stopped before touching, though, hovering awkwardly and beginning to stretch his skinny body in a strange manner. "You have such beautiful wings, you know." His head canted slowly and, as it went, his maw curled further into its crazy grin. "I'd love to touch."

Aradeleon smiled and chuckled, "Well, I don't know about handsome... but my name is Aradeleon, but feel free too shorten it. Most call me Leon though..." Leon blinked and nodded, "So what is your name?" He was a very patient and open male, he did not mind any personality type, and was pretty good with understanding the deeper meaning behind the masks so many Kyl seem to put up. At least this Kyl seemed to be acting genuine, and Leon was grateful for that. He chuckled at the new males gently placed request to touch his wing and moved them forward slightly so they brushed his skeleton paw. "I am glad you like them! I wish they were better suited for flight, but they've never done wrong by me so I guess I've got to be happy with what I've got right?"

Reacting to the feel, his paw curled a bit, brushing the wings further before being pulled back to its owner. Things touched by this paw were felt quite a bit differently than with a normal paw. It could be said he felt it with his soul, rather than his senses. Although Slayn always thought that explaination sounded more than corny. Green eyes blinked as the smile on his maw faded. The soft fluffiness of a cherub's wings was a new thing for him to understand. "Very nice," he said, recalling his happy grin with ease. "I'd be happy with wings even if they couldn't fly at all.... Then again-" he paused, looking momentarily thoughtful. The grin stretched madly. "I'd probably hate them if I had them." Letting out a laugh, he finally backed off to a 'socially acceptable' distance, taking a seat. "I'm Slayn. You can call me whatever you want." It didn't much matter to him how he was addressed. He'd been called many, many things before, hurtful and not. "But you shouldn't be so modest, my dear Leon." He lifted his normal forepaw and examined it a little.

Leon shivered slightly at the touch for the bone paw, but not from discomfort. The touch of the paw was soft true, but it was so cold. Leon shrugged mentally and then smiled, "I don't think I could imagine life without wings... They might not be practical, but they mean a lot to me I guesss...." This time Leon shrugged his actual shoulders and nodded to Slayn, "What an interesting name... it roll right of the tongue! Slayn... Slayn..." He chuckled and fluttered his wings into a resting position on his back, "Modest...? Me? Never...!" Leon found this increasingly amusing and chuckled even more.

"Yes." Although it took him a moment of unexplained silence before he continued with his thought. "I have something important to me, too." Using the paw he already had raised, he lifted the heart charm attached to his collar. "This is my treasure, although I don't remember where it came from." Despite having forgotten its origin, he always felt at ease when he thought of or felt it. By this time, the expression on the dark male's face had ceased its constant shifted and settled on a surprisingly gentle and relaxed looking one. Well, for the most part. Upon hearing his new company's rejection of the modest idea, he smiled merrily. "Modest most certainly!" he responded in a joking tone, tossing his head. "You must not have looked in a pond recently. Otherwise you'd agree with me, handsome."

Leon smiled softly and cocked his head, looking intently at the heart charm, "I guess everyone has their one special thing..." He wagged his tail slightly and then giggled at Slayn's next comment, "Modesty.... is not a trait I thought I possessed..." Leon paused for a moment and looked up at the sky thoughtfully before looking back at Slayn, "Am I handsome on the inside too...?"

Handsome on the inside...? Slayn's expression became placid. For a long while, he remained silent, looking more contemplative than he had been for a long time. It was an interesting question, to say the least. He'd never been asked such a thing before. Well, from what he could tell, Leon seemed friendly. He was much nicer than most the unusual male had met in his existence. Of course, just saying he was nice wasn't Slayn's style. Instead, he smiled happily, wagging his tail. "The glow of your soul is the most beautiful I've ever seen," he answered, an honest ring to his voice. Alright, so he couldn't really see the 'glow' of another's soul. But hey, it got his point across, didn't it? "It shines much brighter than my own, for sure."
