Gabriel entered into the Ravenclaw Common Room nose pressed into the folds of his Standard Book of Spells: Grade 5. He walked over absentmindely to the stairs to his dormitory, while turning the page. He heard the soft meow of his cat Felix from beside him. He stopped and looked down to her. She gazed back up at him with somber yellow eyes. She gave another meow and a flick of her tail, looking back behind them to the entrance to the Common Room. Gabriel smiled.
"You're happy to be back too then girl? I understand. Let me put my things away and we can go. Is that fine with you?" Gabriel said in his slight Latin accent. She purred rubbing up against his legs before prancing over to play at the fire in the heath to wait for him.
Gabriel smiled at her before turning to head up the stairs. She had been given to him on his move to Godrics Hollow. She had been companion to him when he had no one. Though they were two different species but they had a certain connection. She understood him and he her. She had lived an exceptionaly long time without showing any sign of aging. Gabriel thought it might be because she was an Animagus, but came to find out it was simpy her bred of magical cat.
Gabriel stepped into the dormitory and walked quickly over to his bed beside the window. He looked out over the lake and placed his Charms book on the bed, before turning on heel to leave again, checking his robes in the full body mirror on the way out. He stared at his attire. Black pants, blue and silver shirt with a Ravenclaw Raven, flying through The Silver Tiara of Ravenclaw, and of course black robes with the Hogwarts crest stitch on the right. He held his hat limply in his hand. He'd put it on when he got down to the Great Hall.
He climbed down the steps and over to the fire, where Felix was now batting merrily at a smouldering log.
"Ready?" he asked her. She stopped and looked up at him. She gave a loud meow and dashed to the door. Gabriel exited and started towards the great hall with her by his side.
