Annette remained standing off to the side, watching the scene without any evident emotional response to what was going on. She was amused by the obvious discomfort of the beautiful youth, but she knew that the girl would come in handy. The caller was too careful to make such a careless mistake as to select one inappropriate for the job to come. She felt slight amusement as she watched the Necromancer's youthful frame standing naked, the light dancing across his flesh. The stripping of his clothes reminded her of the many occasions in which she'd torn the flesh from her victims or, in her favorite circumstances, caused them to strip themselves of their own flesh. The loss of the protective layers left their more sensitive tissues to painfully overreact to every touch, every move. Their body covered in viscous fluids, the dirt stuck to them like they were glue, and as they fell to the earth screaming in agony they would merely lead themselves towards the reception of more foreign substances into their vulnerable skinless tissues. The best thing to do was to leave them alive, let the infections and diseases slowly kill them. The doctor may be able to treat some of the infections, yes, the doctor could not re-grow the dermal and epidermal layers of flesh. Her thoughts returning to the scene before her from her nostalgic flashback, she listened to the Necromancer as he spoke, staring at him with her cold, faded eyes. "I've been ready since the fall." Her voice rasped.

Zalck sat down in a three legged chair that groaned horribly, the fibers of the wood ready to splinter at any moment. On the table before the short necromancer was a large collection of papers. Some held maps and charts, others were distance measurements and various names and the final group were covered in strange décor of a sinister nature. Zlack reechoed over and seized the largest of all the parchments. He paper was wrinkled and yellowed. Its surface was crumbled and it had been obvious it had seen many times of travel. It had hundred of scribbling on it, showing river names and their routs. Roads weaved with the rivers and met town that dotter everywhere.

“This, is the shire we shall conquer.” He paused, and then pointed with a long finger to a small point on the map that showed only a small forest. “Here we are, in Close Woods. As ya be seein it’s in tha north east corner. There ain’t much around here and that has been perfect for my past three years. I been traveled all over this shire and mapped out everything necessary. Ya see these three red lines that divide the shire?” He pointed three horizontal red lines that dived the shire up into three net sections. “There are three groups of cult member all operating independent of each other. We are this most east section. Tis however makes our job the easiest. With nothing but uninhabited mountains, we don’t have the issues that our other brethren face. We don’t need ta be fearin ‘bout any reinforcements or unplanned visitors screwin up our plans. However, this means we got less stuff ta do and when we done we will be travlin to tha middle. See, the middle is where the biggest problems are gonna be and it will be the last ta start its plans. Tha centers plans be depending heavy upon what we in da east and dem in the west do. Ta west is to be keeping the border closed so no word be leakin to elsewhere. They got it hard. We got it easy. There be a river that spring sup from near the mountains here and be flowing all over.” His finger trailed the river.

“The river be named the Swervine and its what be watering all the crop fields when they have no rain, it’s a major way to transport goods and, course, it be full of fish. This is our goal. We need ta be poisoning the river. As to how, I gots that planned. Thing be, a large village is built upon tha well origin of the river and it’s a big one. We can’t just poison the river, the magic needed will take to long to conjure and some damn fisherman is sure ta be seeing tha magic and stop the necromancers I have ready to poison. Once we got the river poisoned, we need to move south to here.” He point down.

“This river dam is a huge problem for us. Since it be the wet season, the damn is shut cause they don’t want flooding. This be stopping the magic poison. But there be a fortress and a town here and this be a big problem for us. But here we gonna open tha damn and flood the farmlands below, killing many and poisoning more!.” Zlack grinned.

After that, we be done here in tha East lands and we move to the real tough stuff in the center. But I’ll be explaning that later. First we need to poison the water and to do that, this town need to go up here.” He pointed to the river’s origin once again. The town ain’t big, maybe a fifty people living there with twenty or more in the farmlands nearby. Seventy aint to hard to kill. Part be, they got fifteen guards there and the townsfolk be tough as nails. There be only three of us here, but I got some ten acolytes in the town but dat aint much. We needs to take this town and do its quickly. What I be thinking is this. I gots me seven little surprises underground right now, toys ready for me to play with. I’ll take care of the villagers dat be livin on the outskirts of town in farms and den move into the city. You two, with the acolytes can take the town. But ya can’t be to explody with ya magics. I know how sorcerers are apt to be and I will skin you myself if you do such. This town may be far away and not likely to be found out, but I don’t want ta risk a wizard sensing the alteration in the winds of magic. If ya gotta go boom, do it once and quick. But we needs to take all the villagers out fast and silent like.” Zlack leaned back and studedi them both. “Any ideas to that?”

Lucia chuckled at the small male's speech patterns, perhaps it was something to do with his generation, perhaps it was his lack of interaction with living humans. Then again, the sorceress hardly had any interaction aside from the conversations she overheard, but the number of texts she'd read had led to the development of far more educated sounding speech mannerisms. She closed her eyes in thought as she listened through the woods for the disgusting rhythm of a beating heart. She listened for the neural signals firing off in the various critters and her mind rushed as a million creatures, primarily insects, were noted within the close vicinity. There were a number of rats and flies downstairs, many of them seemed to have their bodies focused on their digestive tracts. Annette grinned, knowing all to well what games the necromancer had been up to. Then she caught it, the brain of the pig's larger relative. It wasn't far off, and Annette focused on it, mastering its mind, countering its every instinct in favor of replacing its desire to finish off its meal of a fish in exchange for needing to approach her.
Her eyes still closed as she looked through the eyes of the bear, Annette spoke in her cold, dry voice. "I have a bear." Trusting that the new sorceress, if not both of her companions, might very well fail to note the importance of this fact, she explained the advantage she had just given them. "The strength of a bear will break a damn, the presence of a bear will not bring so much suspicion as that of your 'toys'." Her eyes still closed as she brought the bear to the where the group dwell, she spoke again, "A simple heart attack for a simple fisherman should suffice in maintaining the secrecy of the poisoning. "I can inspire the fish to decay, before death, the oddity of this sight alongside the bear's work should bring the attention of the shire without alerting them as to its source." Her mind whirred, there were too many options.
Outside of the house a growl could be heard as the large mammal had reached the door to the structure. Then Annette grinned, "If any of the living survive the poisoning I will turn them, one by one, against each other. We will be saved the trouble of slaying them as they claw each other to death." A chuckle of pleasure at the mere image of it filled her mind. The East would be easy. "As for explosions, blatant work is not my style, I far prefer the intricacies of indirect games." Then she paused. Her eyes opening as she had completely removed the will and motivation of the creature outside to do anything beyond maintain its functioning through automated systems. "Whe we are done, we can empty the village by leading the corpses into the mountains. What remains of the blood in their systems and the structures of their brains should allow me to inspire the dead to travel as far as they might before their rotting bodies collapse form the inevitable exhaustion." She had offered all that had come to her mind during his description of the plan. "If any of these options appeal, I am willing to perform any and all of the tasks I have claimed myself able to perform."

Miracae listened, her eyes widening and narrowing. She was totally lost. What were they planning? Overtaking the region? Why? Why did both of them know what they were talking about and she was lost? Why was she the only one to question what they were doing? Why killing so many innocent people? A voice deep in her started an answer, an answer which she refused to listen at first. Why not? Did the Knights show any mercy to your friend and family? Weren't you innocent? Didn't they take everything from you? She was trying to find arguments but found none. She could not do that. And after all why not... wasn't she enjoying it? When she was dancing and creating illusion? When she was taking life away? You are not different than them...just younger... whispered the voice.

Miracae stood up at once. She found herself in front of both of them and felt somehow naked as if their eyes could pierce through her. She swallowed with difficulty then started speaking. "Maybe...I could help too..." she offered pitifully. "Once the bear has destroyed the damn, I could...I could create the illusion... that I have been attacked by it and ran to the village. The villagers would quickly create a hunting group... Probably the strongest ones will volunteer for the hunt. A bear is quite a rare opportunity, particularly in this season. I could lead them away..." she paused. "Therefore the weakest will be left behind. An easy target for either of you..." her last sentence was a whisper. "As for the hunting group, they would make articles of choice for your future toys." she did not dare talking to them directly and was staring at the table. She could feel that they were more powerful than her. She doubted that they would listen to her, but she had to try. After all the voice had led her here too, which meant that she was part of the trio.

Annette chuckled as she heard the youth's plan. Her voice was a hideous crackling, but it was still a chuckle nonetheless. Smiling and looking the sorceress directly in the eyes, she focused on her mind, forcing the appropriate muscles bound to the orbs to contract, drawing her eyes straight into Annette's. "I see now why you were brought here, young one, you have potential." She let go of her hold on the youth after having given her compliment. "Still, I would like to know what the owner of the household thinks of all this before we begin building upon my own plans." Her voice rasped as she turned to face Zalck.

Zlack chuckled, shaking his head slowly.

“Allow me to be apologizen for not explaing ta situation fully. Tis dam is a massive structure built not of wood but of massive stones. Tis a massive structure built across the river, cloggin the flow of the river. Three massive towers be built over the dam wall and each of dem is a huge winch that raises three gates that controls how much if any water goes pooring into the lands bellow. And all around dis damn is a huge city of people boardering both sides. But that not ta concern right now. We needs to be worring about here.

The necromancer’s boney index slammed down on the map.

“we’s gots to clear the town out and poison dis watering hole here. Your idea be good and might be workin. But we’s got to cflear out the town. Your bear dou might be of use.”
