During the prior trivia competition, it was announced that there was a poker tournament at the Sands of Time casino... owned by mutant advocate Trevor Fitzroy. Strangely enough, one of the New Mutants team members sanctioned the event publicaly with the backing of his family's fortune.
Siona and Forellen have invited Hellions old and new to go run the tables. They're hoping with her lucky streak, Siona can help one of them win the big prize.... which equates to millions of dollars.
So the question remains: why such a public mutant friendly tournament? Will dollar signs take the place of common judgement?
On a side note, the Paragons will more than likely join the trip since their team consists of the old Hellions.
The New Mutants team is going to be going on an adventure in the Danger Room with their leader who is determined to get her team back on track after the split of her team to the Paragons.

Even if she wasn't a big supporter of the type of challenge they had last, Emma knew that she could put on a party for the kids beyond anything they had seen before. Her personal decorates lined the gymnasium with cascading stands of lights, floating (literally) candles in the air, sprays of beautiful flowers, and a slow mist of dry ice for flavor. Of course, there was the ice sculptures at the entrance as well.
She paid a high figure to the most popular DJ in town to play music for the crowd. The kitchen spared no expense when it came to food and punch. Of course, she fully expected somebody to be juvenile enough to spike the bowl of punch.
Standing at the front of the gynasium, she spoke into the microphone to the students.
"Before everybody gets too comfortable, keep in mind we are going to have a king and queen of the night competition. Everybody is eligible and everybody gets a vote. The winners will be credited an extra 100 to their student accounts. Good luck and have fun! The party is open until midnight."

The party is not going to last forever. I am going to slate Friday morning as the day we are leaving for Vegas.... maybe earlier if things get slow...

Keep the fighting out of the casino floor for now and stay contained down in the lower levels. Well that is until further notified by LJ.
