Any way this is one of my name inspired snipits. Basically i found a name I liked with a meaning and wrote a poem about it. There might be a few of these.
Delmar-of the sea
She was just like her name
As wild as the ocean
Her moods changed swiftly
He could hardly keep up sometimes
She was as passionate as the ocean
Giving so much of herself
Her rages were violent
Her calm presence the one constant in his life
She worked as steady as the tide
While others were content with the short term
She looked far ahead and wore away all the boulders in her path
Just like the ocean beating against the cliffs
She used to rock him to sleep in her arms
And her stories left the sound of the waves ringing in his ears
She was his comfort, his shelter, his protector
And he’d never realized it before
Now looking back years later he wished things had gone differently
But it was to late for that
Because she was just like her name
Just like the ocean
And the ocean’s tide waited for no man.
