It used to be really cool, not to heavily PvP or raiding. And there was a lot of people, so there was always someone online if you wanted to chat while questing. If you did want to do pvp, never fear, we had bg weekends and occasionally raided stuff.
But recently our guild leader decided that they didn't want the guild anymore and gave control over to his RL buddy. Who is completely PvP centric. I know that quite a few knight-level members have already left because for some reason our leader chose his RL friend and not someone already in the guild.
So now it's all about PvP and leveling, and I can't decide whether or not to stay, becuase I'm just a casual player. I enjoy the occasional bg, but this is just getting annoying. The leader will actually ask us to run BGs, even if we're in the middle of doing something. neutral
For the record, I'm going to leave this nameless for obvious reasons.

He he - Yeah I hate it when guild leaders leave it to someone unknown in the guild when there is obvious better leaders already in the guild. Its totally up to you, WOTLK comes out soon - Maybe the new leader will change when that starts. 3nodding

I will proudly annouce that my guild is dead. I am officially the only member who EVER logs on. There was a bit of drama between the leaders a while back about I-don't-even-know-what, and nearly everyone left. I was made leader, failed at rebuilding it a few times, and now I've given up. But I refuse to just LEAVE the guild. I have a misguided sense of loyalty, I guess. sweatdrop

I will happily say my guild is intending to become a casual guild with an eye on raid progression when WotLK comes out. We have strong DPS (three hunters, me, and a warlock who was good before he lost his mind, and is now good when he takes his meds) and WONDERFUL tanks, one of them my (the raid leader's) boyfriend, so he isn't going anywhere. Our healers could use work (atm they're all 14, and have interesting ideas about what being "on time" for a raid means........ seriously, we're casual 165 hours out of a week, why can't they be serious for THREE HOURS on either saturday or friday?

Talk to the guild leader. Tell him how you feel and that you think you could attract more members if you did more than just pvp. Don't get nasty or rude, treat it like a business thing. People underestimate how much a good conversation can do. Just talk. Talk to the other members, see if they feel the same way. A person is more likely to change his stance on something if theres a good amount of people pressuring him. If that doesn't work and he totally refuses to change, leave the guild. Theres no sense torturing yourself around strangers. You can find something better :3

Heh, my guild fell apart too. It had to do largely with adult men complaining that the leader was 15. o.o It got awkward when the guy who caused lots of drama in my guild ended up in the BT guild I got into after I disbanded... hehe

My guild leader is obsessed with PvP as well... she doesn't MAKE us do it, but 'encourages' it a lot. I used to love it but it's getting old.
I've been playing WoW for nearly a year and this is the only guild I've ever known, thinking of leaving now because nobody is ever on anymore... used to have around 240 members... there was always like 20 people on.
*misses those days* crying

Lets see I have been in like 6 guilds over a total 4 months and they all go under...Lets see Semper Fi, Illuniante Brothers of Midkinght and Blood Covenant. Now Judgement Knights....They all go unders the same way the start of progression gets to them and the turn into tyrannts and forget people have lives and jobs. I have seen to many good guils go to hell. And all it took was for someoen to just be realistic.

My guild is pretty much over, too. My guildmaster got arrested in real life, and now his wife (second in command) controls the guild. She was an awesome tank, but she doesn't play anymore now that her husband is in prison. Pretty much all our raiders left now because no one is working to organise the raids.
