Movies-no the 6 should stay at 6, thgh a series is definately needed for the clone wars if god awful, we already know the ending of it do we not?! Anakian turns bad, palpatine makes clones kill jedi, end of good guys. Its just pointless to make them seem good in which they are not, it was all a lie. crying wht they should of done was make a series that told the tales of various jedi tales, those that are from old Republic times, tell the stories of how the galaxy and the force was created for damn sakes.
Any1 recall the Rakatan Empire? 1st people in star wars to discover light speed travel, damn and why dnt they tell wat happened to Revan after kotor 2? Ideas ppl

Then how will we know where the jedi originaly came from? I think it would be cool if lucas made a movie of the jedi's origins. but i do get what ur saying about keeping it an original movie... i guess it makes sence stare

frankly i think that if Lucas went and made movies out of the books set after Return of the Jedi it would be amazing yet sad seeing as theyd have to show the death of Chewbacca and Anakin...maybe even Jacen. the only thing that would probably stop him from making those movies is the fact that the books arent what he created and possibly not the way he would have wanted the entire Star Wars galaxy to look like at all. But i can always hope that he may mrgreen .

I'd like to see one about the Yuzhong War(sorry if grammar sucks deal with it), sad that chewbacca died though, or one about how luke died leading up to Star Wars Legacy.

From a literary stand point there is a massive amount of data that could create a very good movie, or sets of movies...
From a Star Wars fan, using the Episodes 1-3 as a precursor, I beg Lucasfilms to not even try writing a script.
and finally from a economic point of view, im sure that any movie they make bearing the Star Wars name will gain ungodly amounts of money, and further "milk" the brand.
All in all I dont want to see another movie made in fear that it will suck like the EPS1-3 but i am sure they will make more movies, and im sure ill go see them.
If I had to pick any story i would say the rise of Darth Bane would be perfect. The Battle of Ruusan and the ending of the book is a perfect cinematic ending to the movie.

A Darth Bane-centered film would be fantastic, as would a film centered around the forming of the New Jedi Order or the Legacy Era. I mean, it could be a reason to get the old crew together after a few decades, ya know? Especially during the later Eras, or maybe the best of all, films centered around the Thrawn Trilogy. C'mon, it's Thrawn people!

I know this is gonna scare some people but I think that the twists and turns the expanded universe took are completely IDIOTIC AND UNNECECARY! All of this is just added drama. WE ARE REDUCING ONE OF THE GREATEST SCI FI SERIES TO NOTHING MORE THAN A LOAD OF CRAP!!!! It sickens me that some of you just let them Kill off luke and Chewbacca and all of this. How dare you. You sicken me.

ElladanKenet At this point, I really don't care who replaces Lucas. His quality went from awesome to horrible, then gradually back up to pretty good. If Episode III had been ruined, there'd be no sequal trilogy. Instead, he managed to save it. But, if he was to step out, I'd still want a Lucas directing and producing the Star Wars movies (so long as they're qualified). Short of getting Michael Bay or Steven Spielburg, there is noone better to do it. I couldn't agree more
