So I'm sure some other people around here put in an application for this one during the time it was open... what did you think of it?

For me, it makes me nervous that, for some strange reason, they'll reject me... I doubt it would happen, because I'm very much not-fanart (and what little stuff I do have of fanart is chibi and therefore probably under the sufficiently changed ruling, and if not can be pulled from sale with no problems at all). But quantity-wise it looks like a lot more of what I sell is fanart, just because of how many of my little charms I've made by now, and I worry that they won't see my note of "I can take these off sale at any time without severely impacting my table's performance."

And they also caught me off guard with the request for seeing a table set-up... I have no pictures of my table set-up and I change it all the time (I'll be changing it again before Ohayocon, plus it's one of those rare cons I do alone). I ended up doing a quick, crappy tablet sketch of how I intend to set up there...

But overall, I think it's a good process, as long as you know about the one-week window for applications and get in there. I like that it's restricting people to only one table, more or less... my roommate often buys two tables because she has a lot of stuff, and I don't have much problem with people who produce a lot having more space, but two tables is more than enough for anyone.

It's just causing me a lot of extra stress. biggrin What are other people thinking?

I think it was a little more troublesome than normal. But then again I've only been to one AA. The submissions make sense but it sucks everything has to be done 2 weeks in advance of the con. So that means I have to plan better so I can get the most done in that amount of time.

I know what you mean about being rejected, I was afraid of that too but then I felt I wasn't obligated to get anything done if I didn't pass. But it's good to see that I passed but now the stress comes in getting things done. lol

I like OC art better than Fan art unless it's a character I like. I'm hoping people will be more open to OC art this year that way it'll be more diverse and people will be more interested in the variety instead of what is popular. lol

Oh yeah the table set-up was weird, I see where they are coming from but like the submissions. Things will probably change as we go along, hopefully the assigned seating won't be totally permanent yet. lol

Right now, I'm trying to figure out my transportation and lodging options, because it's starting to look like, for whatever reason, my roommate (with whom I usually share a room) may not have gotten in... Ugh. Could this con be any more difficult?

I'm really hoping I find a room soon, I'm running out of time to confirm my table....
