Whoa! Which was my first anime? Man my memories are blurry but I think it was when I was 5 and I saw a show of a small red haired demon boy that transformed into an adult demon when it ate an eye seed. I had blurry memories of it until I began to remember the theme song and I found out it was Zenki! XD!
That was my first contact with anime but I thought they were cartoons (what can I say I was a child and there was no internet or stuff at my place) then when I was around 9 or so I continued to watch anime on a local tv show each weekend. But then when school started I met the most awesome, magical and badass show cartoon network ever showed around Toonami!! And during my 9-13 I watched it there. Later I missed toonami but when I was 17 or so I met PC and internet. XD! So I watched some shows online.
I later found out toonami aired in cartoon network but late at night and once I got back to watch it I was too late. I turned my TV on and I watch some anime there and that was Tom's goodbye. *sigh* -.-" I was in shock but as Tom said those were golden days and thanks to the internet I can keep watching my favorite classics there. "Stay Gold, bang." Adult Swim is my current anime place for now but its not the same. T^T

I first got into anime because of toonami. I remember how everyday when I got off of school I would finish my homework and quickly turn it on, the first show was Sailor Moon, then Tenchi Muyo!, of course Dragon Ball Z and Rurouni Kenshin.

That was so long ago!!! xd First it was both Pokemon and Sailor Moon!! I was so hooked on those shows back then. I didn't know they were animes until my teens.
The craze I had with Pokemon back then. rolleyes I would love to go on my Gameboy and play either the Red,Blue or yellow versions. The yellow got stuck in the Gameboy and I don't know what happened to it. But I still have the Red and Blue versions soemwhere. My mom still has the plush Pikachu clock, comics, pins and I think stickers from that time also. A funny memory I had with Pokemon was, when I was on a bus with my mom and sister, I wouldn't stop singing the Pokemon theme song. I think I drove a few people insane then. xd
I remember when I was eight I had a Sailor Moon doll and a Sailor Moon t-shirt that I loved. I don't know what happened to them. T-T
Then around when I was 10, I was hooked on Card Captors, I had the backpack, wand, clow cards, and a Sakura doll. I'm proud to say I still have the wand and clow cards!!
Hamtaro came next, I still have my little Hamtaro plushie and Bijou plushies, (A big and small one), and playsets.

I remember Pokemon, Digimon, Sailor Moon, and Hamtaro from way back when. And I miss Toonami. I also used to watch Rurouni Kenshin and Dragonball Z. I honestly can't remember my FIRST anime....but those were the absolute earliest..... I miss those ones, though Sailor Moon doesn't strike me as as amazing as I thought it was when I was like at age 4-7.... I've watched anime (whether I knew it or not) since I was really young (my 5th birthday party was Pokemon themed)...

The first anime I saw was in spanish when I was about 5. I lived in my native country and had awesome cable. I saw sailor moon, another one which name I don't remember, and yu-gi-oh. When I moved to the US, I started watching shaman king, one piece, naruto, and a bunch other in different channels of my cable. But I didn't know they were anime, to me it was still cartoons. Once I got to high school I learned what they were, read my 1st manga (Death Note) and fell in love will all anime. Now, I'm even learning Japanese. I've seen soo many anime and read soo many manga that I have lost count.

Sailor Moon on Cheez TV, when I was about 3. I guess the Pokemon anime helped, but I was more interested in the games to be honest.
Once Yu-Gi-Oh! started airing though, that's when I got into it. I wrote bad fan-fics and had two mary-sues (well, a normal and a Yami form). I was a fully-fledged weaboo, in a terrible terrible way. gonk

I landed knee-deep in Anime when,at 11 or 12 years old, I came upstairs and found my sister watching...wait...what was it...oh yeah! Death-note...I think...XD So, after that I was quickly hooked on anime though I have yet to watch all of Death-note myself. XD

The first anime I ever watched was Inuyasha when a friend showed me an amv when I was like 11. The first thing I ever drew was an anime eye I found a tutorial on after I watched Inuyasha some. I've watched a lot more anime since then! Definitely a big fan of a lot of them(especially Code Geass! XD ) Gr biggrin anted before then I had seen Yugioh, Pokemon, and Digimon, but I never really knew they were anime or looked into watching more, until I saw Inuyasha. cat_biggrin cat_ninja
