when i first read this, i though "no way, they're nothing alike".
then i watched star wars, and played FFXII again. you are absolutely correct. the only diffrence i found is at one point balthier said not to get noticed by imperials, while han solo would just run in with his blaster and shoot everyone.
other than that, exactly the same.
as for who's better... i can't decide.

Just wanted to say, Han Solo will forever be the bigger sex idol in my eyes. I'm a self-admitted Fan Boy.
Balthier might be similar, but if you notice... Han and Balthier are really nothing alike. Balthier isn't obsessed with money as much as people take him for. His entire mission throughout the time you know him is about becoming known, nothing more. He became a sky pirate for fame not wealth.
Han Solo however is all about saving his own a** and getting "TEH GOLDZ :B" He has to pay off some old debts. and what not.

The creators of FF were inspired by SW, so much so that in every game there are little nods to the movies. Like Biggs and Wedge. The scene in FF VI where if you dont take off the guard aromor, the princess starts a conversation exactly like the one between Luke and Leia.
Also i am not gay, but Harrison Ford is better looking, Balthier looked a little girly... sweatdrop
