Why should I believe him this time when he and others have said the exact same thing every few months for the past 5 years?

invisibleairwaves Why should I believe him this time when he and others have said the exact same thing every few months for the past 5 years? well when were giving anbar back to iraq when it used to be the worst region in iraq that was full of sunni's who had just lost control of their country and slightly on the bitter side, the fact the insurgents base group of supporters are now working with us that doesent sound like what has been said for the last five years. what does sound like what has been said for the last five years is "the surge wont work", "Iraq is a lost cause", "we have lost in iraq" "the Iraqies will never work with us", for five years thats whats been repeated like a broken record player by the pessimistic libral biased news and other left wing people, i'd say the fact that the conflict is being properly handled by patraeus, that the worst part of Iraq is about to become Iraqi run again, al qaida has nealry givin up on Iraq, is not somthing thats been repeated for the past five years but somthing new that is a sign that this conflict is nearing an end. and in case you think that the "mission acomplished sign" was the president saying it was over and won 5 years ago it was talking about the aircrafr carriers ten month depolyment coming to an end. Many people who watched the event on television and saw the banner displayed on the ship drew the conclusion that the banner declared that the U.S. mission in Iraq had been completed.

You can't really blame them, that's kinda how the government made it seem. If you remember back then, many pundits and regular citizens said this was the end of the easy part. Everyone who didn't think it'd be over, yet at the same time many people said we'd be there for decades possibly.

Well why didn't he define perfectly what mission? It looked better to say it was all over and mislead.

Then why couldn't he had just said that?
