I had one, but rather post in in an inappropriate forum I thought I'd make a thread. That way more than just me can benefit from it biggrin Kara Kazeneko And now all that I've got left to work on is creating an interesting new roleplay story for us to enjoy... (sure would be nice of you guys to help me get some ideas) Anyways, all I really had was a suggestion to maybe explore the Reptites and their story a little further... either by being in the past, or by borrowing a concept from CC and introducing them (or their decedents) in another time - either modern, or future. I have to confess to a certain fondness for their people, and their plight. It was a rather random and ruthless turn of events that led to their extinction and the rise of the apes. Tragedies like that always get my attention. I remember trying something in the old guild myself, but that turned out to be a major flop with me controlling all of the characters minus 2... cry

I actually like the idea of having a focus on the Reptites and/or Draconians, with a strict CT twist, of course.
I have a question, would it be a problem if both rp's are running? Particularly, I don't see one, but I don't want people to stop posting in one rp just so they post on the second.
If there's no problems, cool, I'll whip my mule as soon as I can to get back at you all with a new Chronicle, if there's an issue, I can wait as long as it takes smile

A massive RP that I did on Order of the Black Wind involved the Draconians, in a very interesting way (seeking allegiance with a small band of heroes to save the world from an evil Mystic rebellion led by the descendant of Slash; it was such an epic tale, and even had Magus still alive and keeping an eye on things from the shadows - occasionally helping out the heroes, including his own descendant Maevis, but generally not getting that involved in the mess). I miss that story sooo bad, especially since it never got finished and was in the middle of some freaky bad things happening to the main characters. Not to mention that it all started with my often-used character "Kataru" (the descendant of Flea and a master mage who unfortunately had a bad heart; a huge event in the story involved her receiving a heart transplant, with the medical knowledge and skill of Melchior and the magical assistance of Maevis - and during which the current hiding place of the heroes became threatened).
Right now, the only idea I've got in mind for a new RP for us to do here in the guild is hopefully something along the same vein and involving some Mystics who don't wish to live at peace with Humans, etc. And possibly it could involve a small band of descendants of the Reptites that've been in hiding for ages (which is an idea borrowed from a fanfic I never got around to finishing; the character Maevis from that other RP originated in that fanfic of mine).

If the RP were to revolve around a Mystic uprising, would it still be possible to RP as a Mystic?
Possibly one that didn't like humans but didn't like where the uprising was going even more?
I mentioned this possibility for Alexander's RP, but it would also fit in here - if the option to RP that typer of character was possible.

My friend Jordan over at Order of the Black Wind had a similar character, Silquell the half-Humanoid Mystic/half-Ogan, who gradually came to trust humans and despise the rebellion of his people (and a bit romantic with my girl, Kataru, through trying to save her life when her heart gets worse).
Another interesting sort of character would be a mystic who's on the wrong side and realizes in the midst of the mess that what he's a part of is very evil and screwed up.
Oooh... now this is sounding a bit like a revival of 'AiM' somewhat (the RP had a silly simple name: "Adventures in Medina"; I'd certainly choose something better for a name for this new RP, that's for sure).
If you guys like the idea of the whole rebellion thing, and injecting the Reptites into it somehow (maybe they're behind the rebellion; that'd rock), then that could definitely work for a cool story! (and maybe this one will eventually have an ending; I am seriously depressed that I can never finish the story, since the guys who were part of it no longer keep in touch)

Yes, you read that correctly. The entire site.
Anyway! One of the things that was pretty fantastic about the old RP, I thought, was that there wasn't any time travel, nor was any planned for later on in the story. It was about a bunch of heroes trying to stop something, yes, but it wasn't the main cast of CT--granted, about half of everybody was a descendant of somebody from 600AD--Cyrus, Glenn, Flea, etc. Even the main(ish) villain was the grandson of Slash, a fellow named Sarin. (I'm still a bit proud of that name).
Also, Kara: I liked the name Adventures in Medina, personally. It was sort of a true RPG sense--a few seemingly innocent quests (Find a place to stay, find a doctor), turned into a much more epic journey (Protect political leaders from assassination, prevent a second Mystic War, etc). I mean, if we were to start it over with the intent on it going big from the start, that's different.
Dunno if I'd bring back Quiv, though. I'd need a new angle to work on him from. I'll give it a thought.

I really do like the idea of a rebellion, and the reptites involved. The mystics and the reptites were one of my favorite parts of the CT world.
I'd love to see a story where they come more into play.
I toyed with a few story ideas myself where Azala was actually resurrected, or was going to be resurrected, by reptites followers who had survived deep underground for years.
