The main announcement about Midnight Sun is in the main forum, I recommend reading that. Actually, please go read that if you have not yet done so.
I will reiterate the guidelines I want for this forum.
-
On topic to Midnight Sun, obviously, please.
- Spoilers
* for the main 4 books should be
marked us usual.
- I'm not sure if spoilers
* will be an issue with Midnight Sun, considering it follows Twilight's plot. However, I am not done reading, as I am sure some others are not either. Some people may not read it at all. I don't know what they'd be doing in this subforum, but please be respectful. Whiting out isn't necessary, but
major points should be announced at the beginning of a post.
-
Better safe than sorry, people. If it's borderline on a spoiler, it's a spoiler. Let's not ruin anything for anyone. That's not cool.
- As always, let's try to
avoid repeating threads.
- Stephenie Meyer has been severely hurt by this event. It is very serious, and
I do not want to hear anything malicious directed towards Stephenie regarding the discontinuation of Midnight Sun. I'm hoping no one stoops to that, but I'm saying it now.
- I do not believe it is still an issue, considering it is on her page, but try to
keep this as "legal" as possible. What I mean is try not to quote super long passages. Direct to the
draft with a page number if you are citing more than a half page. Let's
not spread this further.
* I mean major spoilers. Think to yourself, "Would I be annoyed if someone told me this before I read Breaking Dawn/Eclipse/New Moon?" "Would I tell this to my best friend reading Twilight for the first time?" or "Is this a major detail or surprising in any way? Does it change the course of the book or change a character's perspective?" Please just be considerate. If Midnight Sun doesn't hold too many shockers, this rule may be lifted
for Midnight Sun only.
