Really, not because of batteries, but the yellow, orange, and red button mostly barely show up when I press on them. I have to use like all my finger strength to get the to show up, and even then they blink on and off. So long fast songs and songs with chords.
It's major bullshit. Now I need to buy the whole GH package, but now that I see what the new Guitar controller will have, I'm kind of reluctant for it to have died. Just, not so soon.

I opened up my controller, put 3 rubber bands in this one place, and then it worked. There's a video about it on YouTube.

When I press the red button, t'll register for a split second, then not regster for like, 3 seconds, then register for a second, then not again, etc.
Same thing happened for myyellow and orange buttons, just not quite as bad.

millianth mile How did you fix the whammy? two ways, 1). you take apart the guitar and insert a rubber band to the bottom of the whammy bar and hook the other end to the bottom stub for the guitar strap or... 2). put a rubber band (strong ones not like those really thin weak ones and possibly might need two) and hook it to the whammy bar and hook the other end to the guitar strap stub (bad thing about choice 2 is that the whammy bay will be higher then usual) and it should be working perfectly
