 The cherry blossom p'an-lun lounged on an outcropping contemplating the flow of the stream below her. It was a quiet afternoon and she was enjoying it greatly. Cherise, or Cher as she preferred to be called, like the company of her human friend Tygress but not so much Tyg's other companions. She felt very excluded from the group in that she was so very different from the common and Aviadracus painters. They couldn't understand her desire for quiet contemplation or her need to built a home outside the confines of the cavern complex. It was the planning of that home that brought her to the stream... "Perhaps I should build near water," she said aloud while her claws traced out patterns on the rock beneath her. It was completely an unconcious gesture for Cher was an artist with an often restless need to create.

 Meilin had spent most her existence alone it seemed. Till recently which she found herself being followed by a smallish hoofed being. The grassland unicorn named Jia was now a creature Meilin just couldn't shake. Jia was quiet though and sometimes made for someone to talk to. Today the cut through a small clearing towards a stream. Jia was taking a drink when Meilin heard the voice from above her head. Scarlet eyes piercing she looked up to find the source. She had never really been near other painters. Even those that Snow kept. She more has spoken to Aya who seemed just as different with her foreign language barriers. But as she looked above she noticed that there was someone on the outcropping above the stream. "Hello?" she called.

Cher scrambled back startled by the other voice. She must truly have been lost in her thoughts to have not noticed the strikingly colored p'an-lun at the stream below. She peered down from the edge of the outcropping and cheerfully replied, "Hello there. I hope I didn't disturb you I fear I was thinking outloud.."

Meilin took a closer look at the flowery look p'an-lun above her. "Ah...I was more worried we may have disturbed you and your thoughts. Jia just needed a drink of water so we paused for a moment." She tilted her head towards the other female dragon. "Oh were are my manners. My name is Meilin. Mei for short....Jia is the unicorn over there....and your's?"

Cher left the outcropping to drift down and land across the stream from the other. "Its good to meet you Meilin. I'm Cherise," she spoke the name with an accent and a wrinkle of her nose. "I prefer to just be Cher." She then turned to the unicorn. "Pleased to meet you as well Jia."
A sigh escaped her. "My human's other painter friends have familiars as well. Perhaps one will find me someday."

Jia's ears twitched as she glanced at Cher. Meilin watched Jia for a moment then looked at Cherise. "Cher it is then. My human only has one other painter with a familiar. The other four don't have one yet.....but boy...Seraphina's familiar is kinda funny looking...something about fertility though. I like Jia...she's adorable while Dashurie..yeah.." Meilin made a face. "But Sera loves her...." Meilin sighed as Jia pranced near her tail.

"That's interesting. I've heard it is possible to summon familiars that have such affect. Miakoda, she is the aviadracus among us has a salamandar that has some affect on her future children. It is all very confusing," Cher commented. "I must admit you are the first fellow p'an-lun I have seen. It is wonderful to meet another of my own kind." She sighed again thinking of the differences that were so apparent to her when among the other "Moongazers" as Tygress's called their little group. It confused her as only Miakoda seemed to prefer the night and the light of the moon, but she was sure the human had her reasons for the name.

Meilin smiled a bit. "Deshurie allows Seraphina to have more children than normal....but yeah same here...I've never seen another p'an-lun till now. It's nice to be able to talk to someone who is the same as me....I've been having to live with three other species of dragon and none like us. Aya lives in water, Seraphina and Helios have feathers, Heqet and Sabola...well...I see alot of dragons that look like them around."

Cher found herself being slightly lulled by the music of the stream. The blinked rapidly remembering she was in company. "I am sorry I've had much on my mind. I'm attempting to find a place to build my own home since well I find the idea of living in a cavern large though it is with four others quite distasteful. I was considering perhaps building near the water... but then I also long for the height of the cliffs. Its all very difficult coming to live among others isn't it?"

"Yes, I do find it rather trying to live among others. Especially if they are not of my own species. Other p'an luns seem to understand me better and not waste my time. " Meilin responded. She was rather fond of living out here on her own away from the chaos that was home. The others where a little too active for her tastes and she enjoyed the leisure of being out in the wilderness amongst such beautiful scenery. "Perhaps you'll be able to find a place most suitable to call home out here. There is water and some cliffs..."
